Pictured here is one of the buildings of the Taj West End that was originally established in 1887 by a British woman named Mrs. Bronson. At that time, it was known as the "Bangalore Club." It was primarily a boarding house for British army officers and civil servants stationed in Bangalore during the British colonial period. In 1984, the Tata Group, one of India's oldest and most respected conglomerates, acquired the Bangalore Club and transformed it into the Taj West End. This acquisition marked the entry of the Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces group into Bangalore's hospitality sector.
