Who can apply?
Students who:
• Are studying in the 1st year of their first PG degree
• Are 30 years or younger at the time of PG admission
• Are enrolled in a regular/full-time eligible PG programme
• Study at an eligible/recognised institution
• Are pursuing an eligible PG degree under the scheme
Not eligible: Distance, open, correspondence and part-time PG programmes. Integrated programmes may be eligible for their PG component.
Women’s quota
30% of scholarships are reserved for women candidates, with priority provisions for eligible single/twin/fraternal girl-child candidates within the women's quota.

The scheme covers eligible postgraduate programmes in areas including:
Science • Engineering & Technology • Arts • Humanities • Social Sciences • Law • Management • Medical/Technical fields • Agriculture • Forestry • Other eligible disciplines

Log in to the National Scholarship Portal.
Select National Scholarship for Post Graduate Studies.
Complete and submit the application.
Make sure your institution completes verification.
