Bear Safety Workshops
4 hr course: $50/person, $300 minimum
8 hr course: $100/person, $500 minimum
Stay safe while hiking, camping, fishing, picking berries, and other outdoor recreation or work in bear country. Master skills for avoiding unwanted bear encounters, and for coping with encounters that you can't or won't avoid. Learn how to recognize a bear's mood and intentions -- how to calm a defensive bear and win its trust, or how to discourage a offensive bear -- be it a bully trying to scare you into surrendering food, or a predatory bear looking at you as food.
