An original Oil painting of beautiful Bamburgh Castle and sands. I often holidayed here in 1960s-1990s. It holds so many happy memories of family. The last walk was the day of the two towers attack in the USA. We’ll never forget it. Two British jets passed us closely following the coastline. On my last long walk between Bamburgh and Seahouses. Little did we know so many people had lost their lives that very day. In horrific circumstances. The news back at the caravan was too shocking to believe. But then I gazed at the peaceful sea and realised such trauma is created by man, not God.

Apple blossom from my garden. With a mountain scene in the very far distance. Snow covered with mist rolling off the mountains in early morning. A cold day ahead. With light winds which may blow the petals away. A special moment in time. When the open flowers await the touch of new life to begin, the promise of a good autumn harvest. First flowers, then fruit. The power of a well-loved tree to return food for a whole season of tender care. Nature's bounty alongside man’s careful respectful hands, putting food on our tables and happiness in our hearts.

My new oil painting. A Herdwick Sheep from Cumbria in the English Lake District. These are very famous sheep. You will see them all over the Lake District. Even roaming freely on the roads and stopping traffic into Wastwater’s village at the head of the valley. We often went fell walking here when I was a child. My father and I even walked the full length of Wastwater along the opposite side of this deep dark lake. Around massive boulders and slipping down loose scree. Following the faintest sheep track towards our goal. The ancient church at Wastwater Head.
