What are some ways to calm your nerves before speaking in public?
One of my favorite nuggets of wisdom that I picked up from a video that came across my feed is this...nervousness and excitement are the same mental concoction. Just explain the way you are feeling as being excited. If you see me speak you'll notice I ALWAYS start with "I'm so excited to talk to you about ...", that's because I'm reframing my emotions for me. If you pay attention you'll notice others doing it too, especially professional athletes. Works in all situations where nerves are high...you're just super excited!
