日本デジタルライターズ協会は、主にIT系のライターとして働く個人事業主を会員として、会員相互の情報共有や勉強会などの活動をしています。
文芸美術国民健保組合の加盟団体です（参考： 文芸美術国民健保組合について）。2015年7月9日に任意団体として設立され、2016年2月に一般社団法人化しました。
運営はボランティアによる理事と事務局によって行われています。
会員資格 ： IT分野の著作物の執筆、編集などの著作活動に従事し、それをおもな職業の1つとして2年以上の活動実績がある個人事業主。
入会申込時には、上記の会員資格を確認するため、2年以上の会員歴がある会員

2023年3月5日に理事会を開催し、2023年度からの年会費の値下げと入会金の廃止を決定いたしました。
・年会費：1万円（昨年度までは1万5000円）
・入会金：なし（昨年度までは5000円）
値下げの主な理由は2つあります。1つは当協会の会員数増加と会員の皆様のご協力、そして事務局の堅実な組織運営の結果として、当協会の財政基盤としての繰越金が十分な金額に到達したと同時に、年会費による十分な収入の見通しが立ったためです。
もう1つは、文芸美術国民健保の保険料をはじめとする各種の値上げやインボイス制度の開始など、会員の皆様を取り巻く社会的な経済状況が変化する中で、このタイミングでできるだけ経済的な負担を減らしたいと考えたためです。
当協会は設立当初から、実利団体に徹することを主な方針とし、理事会や事務局の運営についても、できるだけ低負担かつ低コストで持続可能になるようにしてまいりました。
今回の値下げも、この方針に沿ったものであり、理事会にて今後の当協会の財務状況について何種類もの予測を慎重に検討した上で決定しました。これまでの組織運営の成果のひとつとして、会費の値下げを実施できることを大変うれしく思います。
2023年2月15日に「インボイス制度の緩和措置とは！ 最新動向と対応方法を改正電帳法と合わせて総ざらい」を開催しました。
今回は税理士の杉山靖彦先生に、昨年12月23日に閣議決定した「令和5年度税制改正の大綱」における「適格請求書等保存方式（インボイス制度）」と「改正電子帳簿保存法（改正電帳法）」に関する緩和措置のポイントは何か、フリーランスはインボイス制度や改正電帳法への具体的な対応準備をどのように進めればよいのかといったことについてご解説いただきました。
1月26日にオンラインイベント「フリーランスライターのための確定申告勉強会2021」を開催しました。
今回は税理士の杉山靖彦先生に、これから始まる2020年分の確定申告に関する税制の変更点や注意事項（青色申告特別控除、基礎控除、配偶者控除や給与所得控除などの変更点と注意点など）、持続化給付金などの支援金を受けた場合の注意点のほか、マイナンバーカードによる電子申告、コロナ禍で本業（執筆業）とは別に行った副業の確定申告、2023年より導入されるインボイス制度に関する留意点などについてもご解説いただきました。

第１版
（目的）
第１条 本規程は、一般社団法人日本デジタルライターズ協会（以下「当法人」という。）定款第６条の規定に基づき、当法人の会費に関し必要な事項を定める。
（会費の種類）
第２条 会員は、入会金、年会費を納入しなければならない。
２ 会員は、理事会の議決により臨時会費を徴収することが決定された場合には、臨時会費を納入しなければならない。
