Project Components

Pastoral Risk Management for Resilience (PRMR)

This component focuses on enhancing the absorptive and adaptive capacities of pastoral and agro-pastoral communities by strengthening disaster risk management (DRM) capacities and developing public infrastructure that supports disaster preparedness and climate resilience

Integrated Rangeland Management (IRM)

Aims to improve the health and productivity of natural rangeland resources. This includes monitoring and enhancing soil stability, hydrologic function, vegetation productivity, and biotic integrity. It also seeks to reduce community-level conflicts in pastoral and agro-pastoral areas.

Climate Resilient and Sustainable Livelihoods (CRSL)

This component aims to increase, diversify, and stabilize the incomes of pastoral and agro-pastoral households. It promotes climate-smart technologies and value chains, encourages raising fewer but more productive animals, and focuses on increasing productivity while lowering greenhouse gas emissions

Project Management, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (PMME)

This component finances project management activities, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), and knowledge management and policy support. It ensures that the project is effectively managed, progress is tracked, and lessons learned are integrated into ongoing and future activities
