We backpacked into the valley below Grays and Torreys Peaks for a night beneath the stars before sending both peaks the next day. Not a cloud was in the sky at our 12,000 ft. base camp. However, the second the mountains hid the sun, the temperature dropped dramatically and it was time to hunker down.

It is a good valley in which live in your hand-built wooden and stone cabin. Although much of your comfort is only gained by hard work through the summer months. Planting vegetable crops and cutting as much firewood as you can. You feel secure and personally fulfilled. You can live off-grid caring for almost all your needs in this otherwise harsh unforgiving environment.

We rented a cabin in the mountains of Virginia to escape the craziness between Christmas and New Years Eve in the big city. It was hard to capture how secluded we were from the ground, and just how far away from the hustle and bustle we were. We sent the drone up to capture the landscape, the cabin, and the surrounding area.

Awaken to a mystical morning at Borobudur Temple, where history whispers through the mist-veiled mountains of Java, Indonesia. This tranquil scene, captured from the vantage point of the world’s largest Buddhist temple, is an ode to spiritual journeys and the serene beauty of nature's embrace.
