This is a long exposure (5 min) shot of downtown Manhattan from across the Hudson river at the Empty Sky Memorial. It was early one morning in October, just as the sun was rising. I used a Formatt Hitech 4.8 ND filter which is expensive but worth the money. If you haven’t tried using these crazy long exposures then I do suggest you give it a go, it’s brilliant. You don’t need to buy the very best ND filters but you do need to get a good solid tripod.
