Vocational Apprenticeship Program (SLDN)
Transform Your Passion into a Professional Career with a Global Icon
Overview of the Program
The McDonald’s Vocational Apprenticeship Program is a strategic human capital initiative under the National Dual Training System (Sistem Latihan Dual Nasional - SLDN), held in formal collaboration with the Department of Skills Development (JPK) and the Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia. This programme is specifically engineered for Malaysian youth, offering a robust "Work-Based Learning" framework that bridges the gap between academic theory and industrial excellence.
Accreditation & Legitimacy
We prioritize the integrity of your professional development. This is not a casual employment scheme; it is a formal, government-sanctioned training pathway:
• Official Commission: McDonald’s Malaysia is distinguished as the first Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) operator in the country to be officially accredited by the Ministry of Human Resources to conduct the SLDN programme.
• National Certification: Upon successful completion, graduates are awarded the Malaysian Skills Certificate (Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia - SKM) Levels 2 & 3, a prestigious credential recognized by the hospitality and service industries nationwide.
• Fully Funded Education: In line with our commitment to social mobility, the programme is entirely tuition-free. There are no registration fees, hidden charges, or training costs imposed on the candidates.
Exclusive Apprentice Benefits
Selected apprentices are entitled to a comprehensive welfare and compensation package:
• Monthly Living Allowance: A fixed monthly stipend of RM1,700.
• Duty Meals: Complimentary meals provided during working hours at the restaurant.
• Medical & Insurance Coverage: Full access to medical benefits and group insurance throughout the duration of the training.
