Meet The Team
Christian Alfano
Hi, I'm Christian Alfano. As a high school counselor, I've helped students and families navigate the college planning process and prepare for life after high school. My experience also includes working in a college academic advising office, giving me insight into what colleges are looking for throughout the application process.
In addition to counseling, I've coached high school and college athletics for more than 20 different seasons, allowing me to mentor students both in the classroom and on the field or court. My goal is to provide personalized guidance that helps students feel confident, organized, and prepared as they take the next step toward college.
Valerie Del Russo
Hi, I'm Valerie. As a school counselor, I've had the privilege of working closely with students and families to support their academic, social, and emotional growth while helping them prepare for life after high school. Through my experience, I've guided students in exploring post-secondary opportunities, setting meaningful goals, and navigating important educational decisions with confidence.
I am also currently completing a post-master's program to become a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC), further expanding my knowledge and skills to better support students and families. I believe every student has a unique path, and I am committed to providing personalized guidance that empowers them to make informed decisions and achieve their goals.

Drop In Consultation
Need help cleaning up your essay, or do you need help finishing up your applications as deadlines approach? A one hour drop in consultation is just what you need.
Senior Year Pacakges
5 Sessions- Basic Application Support, sessions begin in September of Senior year. *Does not include essay writing support.
7 Sessions- More advanced support, sessions begin in September of Senior year. 1 e
ssay Editing Session.
10 Sessions- Advanced support, sessions beginning in August prior to the start of the school year. 2 essay edits included.
15 Sessions- Most Comprehensive package, starting in July prior to the start of the school year. Unlimited essay edits.
Junior Year Package
6 sessions- Stay on track to meet your college goals throughout your Junior year.

Comprehensive Sophomore Service- 6 sessions
Meetings throughout the school year to focus on building a good college resume, exploring extracurricular interests, and high school course progressions.

Applying to college can be stressful. With our personalized approach, experienced consultants, and commitment to understanding each student’s unique strengths we can help reduce that stress for the student and their families.
How early should students start college consulting?
Starting is different for everyone, and also depends on the student's goals. If you have a Freshmen or Sophomore who is interested in attending college, we recommend signing up for either a Freshmen or Sophomore Strategy Session. We would definitely recommend not waiting until the last minute!
What is the cost of your college consulting services?
We pride ourselves on being an affordable option where families get a good value at a fair price. Our pricing varies based on the level of service required. We offer different packages and can provide a personalized quote after an initial consultation where we will recommend a package based on where you are in your college process.

Can Alfano College Advising help with scholarship and financial aid applications?
