lives in Nottingham with her family, and their dog Podrick. Claire suffers from Multiple Sclerosis but that doesn’t stop her writing, releasing her Perfect Lie in 2020 with A Silent Child and A Burning Lie and A Dead Lie Following later.  
When Claire isn't working, she enjoys reading crime novels and listening to music - the band Jimmy Eat World is her biggest muse! But she’s really a Swiftie at heart.

 The inspiration for her novels comes from the hours spent watching The Bill with her grandparents and auntie; then later, Spooks and other detective programmes like Morse, A Touch of Frost and Midsummer Murders with a sprinkle of day dreaming.

A Perfect Lie - The Hamster Lisa and Chloe used to own was named after the Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington. I spent ages making sure the date of Chester's death lined up with their pet hamster's life.
