WEBSITE COURSE - MODULE 1 TO MODULE 5

MODULE 1 — GETTING STARTED Welcome to Website Building Welcome to the Berlain Wolf Tech Website Building Course . In this course, you will learn how to create professional websites without knowing how to code . You don't need to be a programmer or have any previous website-building experience. We will take everything step by step , starting from the very beginning. By the end of the course, you will be able to create websites for yourself and even build websites for businesses and clients. LESSON 1 — WHAT IS A WEBSITE? A website is a place on the internet where people can learn about a business, person, product, or service. For example, a business website can show: What the business does Products or services Prices Pictures Location Phone number WhatsApp Social media How customers can contact the business Think of a website as a digital office or shop that people can visit from their phones or computers. Example Imagine you own a fashion business. Instead of telling every customer: "We sell clothes, we're located here, this is our phone number, and these are our products." You can put everything on one website. Your customer can simply visit your website and see everything. LESSON 2 — WHY DO BUSINESSES NEED WEBSITES? A website helps a business look more professional and makes it easier for customers to find information. For example, a customer may want to know: "What does this business sell?" They can visit the website. "How can I contact them?" They can click WhatsApp or call. "Where are they located?" The website can show their location. "What products do they have?" The website can display their products. Important Not every business needs a complicated website. A simple, clean website that gives customers the information they need can be very effective. LESSON 3 — WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BUILD A WEBSITE? You don't need many things. You only need: 1. A Phone can work for some platforms, or a Computer You can use a computer or a smartphone, although a computer is usually easier for building websites. 2. Internet Connection You need internet access to use Solo and publish your website. 3. A Solo Account Solo is the platform we will use to create our websites. You don't need to learn coding. Solo allows us to create and edit websites using a simple visual editor and AI. 4. A Domain Name A domain is the name people type into their browser to visit your website. For example: berlainwolftech.com google.com nike.com Your domain is basically your website's address on the internet . LESSON 4 — UNDERSTANDING DOMAINS A domain is simply the name of your website. For example: www.berlainwolftech.com The important part is: berlainwolftech.com Examples of domains amazon.com facebook.com berlainwolftech.com mybusiness.com mybusiness.ng You don't need to worry about buying a domain yet. We will learn how to choose and connect a domain later in the course. LESSON 5 — YOUR FIRST WEBSITE PROJECT Throughout this course, you should follow along and build your own website . Don't just watch the lessons. Pause the lesson whenever necessary and do the same thing on your own computer. For your first project, you can build a website for: Your own business A friend's business A family member's business A fictional business for practice Example You could create a website for: A fashion business Business name: Noble Fashion Services: Men's clothing Women's clothing Custom outfits Or you could build a website for a restaurant, real estate company, photographer, mechanic, logistics company, salon, or any other business. MODULE 1 PRACTICAL TASK Before moving to Module 2, make sure you understand these five things: 1. What is a website? A website is a place on the internet where people can learn about a business, person, product, or service. 2. Why do businesses need websites? To give customers information and make it easier for them to contact or buy from the business. 3. What is a domain? The address people use to visit your website. 4. What is Solo? The platform we will use to create our websites. 5. What are you going to build? Choose a business for your first website project. Your task: Choose one business and write down: Business name What the business does Products or services it offers Phone number WhatsApp number Location Social media accounts Keep this information somewhere safe because we will use it in the next module to create your first website. Next Module MODULE 2 — GETTING STARTED WITH SOLO You will create your Solo account and build your first website step by step. MODULE 2 — GETTING STARTED WITH SOLO What You Will Learn In this module, you will learn how to: Create your Solo account Log in to Solo Start your first website Tell Solo what kind of website you want Generate your first website Understand the main parts of your website Don't worry if you've never used a website builder before. Follow each step one at a time. LESSON 1 — CREATE YOUR SOLO ACCOUNT First, open your browser. We recommend using Google Chrome . Go to Solo and create an account. You will be asked to provide basic information such as: Your name Email address Password After creating your account, log in. Your task Create your Solo account and log in. Once you are inside your dashboard, move to the next lesson. LESSON 2 — START YOUR FIRST WEBSITE After logging into Solo, look for the option to create a new website . Click it. Solo will ask you some questions about the website you want to create. This is where the information you prepared in Module 1 becomes useful. For example: Business Name: Noble Fashion Business Type: Fashion What the business does: Noble Fashion sells men's and women's clothing and creates custom outfits. Location: Port Harcourt, Nigeria Contact: 07000000000 The more useful information you provide, the easier it will be for Solo to create a website that matches the business. LESSON 3 — TELL SOLO ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS When Solo asks you to describe your business, don't overthink it. Simply explain: Who you are + what you offer + who you serve. Example: Noble Fashion is a fashion business based in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. We sell men's and women's clothing and create custom outfits for our customers. That's enough to get started. You don't need to write a perfect description. Solo will help generate the website content. LESSON 4 — LET SOLO CREATE YOUR WEBSITE After entering your business information, Solo will generate a website for you. Give it some time to complete the process. When the website appears, don't start changing everything immediately. First, look at the website. Ask yourself: Does the business name look correct? Does the website describe the business correctly? Are the images suitable? Are the services correct? Does the website have the pages I need? Don't worry if something isn't perfect. We will learn how to change everything in the next modules. LESSON 5 — UNDERSTANDING YOUR WEBSITE Before editing your website, you need to understand the basic parts. HEADER The header is usually at the top of the website. It normally contains: Business logo Business name Menu Buttons HOMEPAGE The homepage is the first page most visitors see. It introduces the business and tells visitors what the business offers. SECTIONS A page is divided into different sections. For example, your homepage might have: Hero Section Introduces the business. About Section Explains the business. Services Section Shows what the business offers. Products Section Shows products. Contact Section Shows how customers can get in touch. BUTTONS Buttons help visitors take action. Examples: Contact Us Order Now Book Now Chat on WhatsApp Learn More FOOTER The footer is usually at the bottom of the website. It can contain: Business name Contact information Social media Address Copyright information LESSON 6 — DON'T TRY TO PERFECT IT YET This is very important for beginners. When Solo creates your first website, you may see things you don't like. That's completely normal. You might think: "I don't like this picture." Or: "I want this text to be different." Or: "I don't want this section." That's exactly what we will learn next. You will learn how to edit the website and make it look exactly the way you want. MODULE 2 PRACTICAL TASK Now it's your turn. Complete these steps: Create your Solo account Log into Solo Create a new website Enter your business information Allow Solo to generate your website Look through the website Identify the header Identify the homepage Identify the different sections Identify the buttons Identify the footer Don't worry about making changes yet. Your goal is simply to create your first website and understand what you're looking at. NEXT MODULE MODULE 3 — EDITING YOUR WEBSITE In the next module, we'll start doing the fun part: Changing the text, pictures, buttons, colors, and other parts of your website. MODULE 3 — EDITING YOUR WEBSITE What You Will Learn In this module, you will learn how to change the content of your website. You will learn how to: Change text Change images Add images Change buttons Add links Remove things you don't need Make your website look more like your own Don't worry about making everything perfect. The goal is simply to learn how to edit. LESSON 1 — CHANGING TEXT When Solo creates your website, it will automatically add text. Some of this text may not be exactly what you want. For example, Solo might write: "We provide high-quality fashion solutions for everyone." You can change it to something simpler: "Quality fashion for men and women." How to change text Open your website editor. Find the text you want to change. Click on the text. Edit the words. Save your changes. That's it. Practice Find the main heading on your homepage and change it to something you like. For example: Original: Welcome to Noble Fashion New: Quality Fashion Made For You LESSON 2 — CHANGING IMAGES Images are very important because they help visitors understand what a business offers. If you are building a website for a restaurant, you want to show food. If you are building a website for a fashion business, you want to show clothing. If you are building a website for a real estate company, you want to show properties. How to change an image Click the image. Look for the option to change or replace it. Select a new image. Upload your image or choose another available image. Save the change. Important Use clear and good-quality images . Avoid blurry or stretched images. LESSON 3 — ADDING YOUR OWN IMAGES You may already have pictures of the business or its products. For example: A fashion business might have: Product pictures Store pictures Customer pictures Model pictures A restaurant might have: Food pictures Restaurant pictures Menu pictures Use the business's actual images whenever possible. This makes the website feel more authentic. LESSON 4 — EDITING BUTTONS Buttons tell visitors what to do next. For example: Order Now Contact Us Book Now Learn More Chat on WhatsApp You can change both the words on the button and what happens when someone clicks it. Example Suppose you have this button: Contact Us You can change it to: Chat on WhatsApp Then add the business's WhatsApp link. Now when a visitor clicks the button, they can go directly to WhatsApp. LESSON 5 — ADDING LINKS A link takes someone from one place to another. For example, you can link a button to: WhatsApp Phone number Email Another page Instagram Facebook Another website Example Your button says: Call Us You can make the button open the business's phone number. Another button can say: Follow Us and take visitors to Instagram. LESSON 6 — REMOVING SOMETHING YOU DON'T NEED Sometimes Solo will create sections that your business doesn't need. For example, a plumber may not need a: Product Gallery A restaurant may not need: Real Estate Properties If you don't need a section, you can remove it. Before deleting anything: Ask: "Does this section help the customer?" If the answer is no, you can remove it. Don't add things just to make the website look bigger. A simple website can still look professional. LESSON 7 — ADDING YOUR BUSINESS INFORMATION Now replace the sample information with the real business information. Make sure you have: Business name Phone number WhatsApp number Location Services Products Opening hours Social media Only add information that applies to the business. LESSON 8 — KEEP YOUR WEBSITE SIMPLE One of the biggest mistakes beginners make is trying to add too much. You don't need: Too many colors Too many fonts Too many animations Too much text Too many sections Your website should be easy to understand. When someone visits the homepage, they should quickly understand: Who are you? What do you offer? Why should I choose you? How can I contact you? MODULE 3 PRACTICAL TASK Now practice what you have learned. Edit your website: Change the main heading Change the website description Change at least one image Add one of your own images Change a button Add a WhatsApp link Add the correct phone number Add the business location Add the correct services Remove one section you don't need Final Check Look at your website and ask: "If I were a customer, would I understand what this business does?" If the answer is yes , you're doing well. Don't worry about making it perfect yet. NEXT MODULE MODULE 4 — BUILDING YOUR WEBSITE PAGES Next, we'll learn how to create the important pages every business website needs, including: Home • About • Services • Products • Contact • Gallery • Booking . MODULE 4 — BUILDING YOUR WEBSITE PAGES What You Will Learn In this module, you will learn how to create and organize the main pages of a business website. You don't need every page for every business. The goal is to understand what each page is for and when to use it. LESSON 1 — THE HOME PAGE The Home page is usually the first page visitors see. Its job is to quickly explain what the business does. A simple Home page can contain: Business name Main heading Short description Main image Services or products Why customers should choose the business Contact button WhatsApp button Example For a cleaning company: Professional Cleaning Services We provide reliable residential and commercial cleaning services. [Book a Cleaning] The visitor should understand the business within a few seconds. Remember: Keep the Home page simple. LESSON 2 — THE ABOUT PAGE The About page tells visitors more about the business. You can include: Who the business is When it started What the business does What makes it different Its mission Its values Example Noble Fashion is a fashion brand based in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. We provide quality clothing and custom outfits designed to help our customers look and feel their best. You don't need to write a very long story. Short and clear is better. LESSON 3 — THE SERVICES PAGE If the business provides services, create a Services page . Each service should have: Service Name A short explanation of what the service is. Example Website Design We create professional websites for businesses and individuals. Social Media Management We help businesses manage and grow their social media presence. You can also add: Service images Prices WhatsApp buttons Booking buttons LESSON 4 — THE PRODUCTS PAGE If the business sells products, you can create a Products page . Each product can include: Product name Product image Short description Price, if applicable Order button Example Classic Black Shirt Premium cotton shirt suitable for casual and formal occasions. ₦25,000 [Order on WhatsApp] You don't have to add every product if the business has hundreds of products. Start with the most important products. LESSON 5 — THE CONTACT PAGE The Contact page makes it easy for customers to reach the business. You can include: Phone 07000000000 WhatsApp Chat with us on WhatsApp. Email info@business.com Location Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Social Media Instagram Facebook TikTok You can also add a contact form. LESSON 6 — THE GALLERY PAGE A Gallery page is useful for businesses where images are important. Examples include: Interior designers Event decorators Photographers Restaurants Fashion brands Construction companies Real estate businesses Car dealers The Gallery allows visitors to see examples of the business's work. Example For a decoration company, the gallery could show: Weddings Birthdays Corporate events Interior decoration Outdoor decoration LESSON 7 — THE BOOKING PAGE Some businesses need customers to book an appointment. Examples: Salons Barbers Consultants Doctors Fitness trainers Photographers Car rental companies Cleaning companies The Booking page should make it easy for customers to request an appointment. You can include: Choose a service Choose a date Choose a time Enter contact information Submit booking If the business uses another booking system, you can also connect the booking button to that service. LESSON 8 — DO YOU NEED ALL THESE PAGES? No. This is very important. A website doesn't need to have seven or ten pages just because you can create them. Choose pages based on what the business needs. Simple business You might only need: Home + About + Services + Contact Restaurant You might need: Home + Menu + About + Gallery + Contact Fashion business You might need: Home + Products + About + Gallery + Contact Real estate business You might need: Home + Properties + About + Contact LESSON 9 — CREATING A NEW PAGE Now let's practice. Inside your Solo website editor: Find the area where your website pages are managed. Select the option to add a new page. Give the page a name. Create the page. Add the information needed for that page. Save your changes. Check the page on your website. Practice Create an About Us page. Add: Heading: About Us Description: Write 2–3 sentences explaining the business. Then save it. Next, create a Services page and add at least three services. MODULE 4 PRACTICAL TASK Build the pages your business needs. At minimum, create: Home About Services or Products Contact If your business needs them, also add: Gallery Booking Other useful pages Then check your website menu. Make sure visitors can easily move from one page to another. QUICK WEBSITE CHECK Before moving to the next module, click through your website like a customer. Ask yourself: Can I easily find the Home page? Can I find the products or services? Can I learn about the business? Can I contact the business? Do all the buttons work? If everything works, you're ready for the next module. NEXT MODULE MODULE 5 — MAKING YOUR WEBSITE LOOK PROFESSIONAL Next, we'll learn how to make your website clean, attractive, easy to read, and mobile-friendly using simple design principles. MODULE 5 — MAKING YOUR WEBSITE LOOK PROFESSIONAL What You Will Learn In this module, you will learn how to make your website look clean, simple, and professional . You don't need to be a graphic designer. The goal is not to make the website complicated. The goal is to make it easy for customers to understand and use . LESSON 1 — CHOOSE SIMPLE COLORS Your website should have a small number of colors. A good starting point is: 1 main color 1 secondary color White or another simple background color Example A real estate company might use: Dark green + white + light gray A luxury brand might use: Black + white + gold A children's business might use: Blue + white + yellow Important Don't use too many different colors. If every section has a different color, the website can look messy. Practice Choose 2–3 colors for your website. Use those colors consistently throughout the website. LESSON 2 — CHOOSE EASY-TO-READ FONTS Fonts are the style of the words on your website. You don't need fancy fonts. Your main goal is: Can the customer easily read the website? Choose simple fonts for: Headings Paragraphs Buttons Try to use one or two fonts throughout the website. Avoid Very complicated fonts that are difficult to read. LESSON 3 — USE GOOD IMAGES Good images can make a website look much better. Try to use: Clear images High-quality images Relevant images Properly sized images Example If you're building a restaurant website, don't use random pictures of buildings. Use pictures of: The food The restaurant The kitchen Customers Staff The images should match the business. LESSON 4 — DON'T ADD TOO MUCH TEXT Visitors don't want to read a huge block of text when they first open a website. Instead of writing: "We are a company that has been operating for many years and our main objective is to provide..." Make it simple. Example Quality Cleaning Services Reliable cleaning services for homes and businesses. Then add a button: Book Now Simple. Easy to understand. LESSON 5 — MAKE YOUR HEADINGS CLEAR Headings tell visitors what each section is about. Instead of: "Welcome To Our Website" You could use: Professional Cleaning Services Instead of: "What We Do" You could use: Our Services Instead of: "Get In Touch With Us Today" You could use: Let's Work Together Your headings should tell the visitor what they are about to see. LESSON 6 — USE CLEAR BUTTONS Your buttons should tell people exactly what will happen when they click them. Good examples: Order Now Chat on WhatsApp Book Now Call Us View Products Get a Quote Avoid buttons like: Click Here Read More when you can be more specific. For example: Instead of: Read More Use: Learn About Our Services LESSON 7 — KEEP YOUR SECTIONS CLEAN Don't try to put everything into one section. Give each section enough space. For example: Section 1 Professional Cleaning Services Short description. Book Now Section 2 Our Services Service 1 Service 2 Service 3 Section 3 Why Choose Us Short explanation. Section 4 Contact Us Phone + WhatsApp + location. This makes the website easier to follow. LESSON 8 — CHECK THE WEBSITE ON MOBILE This is very important . Most people will probably visit many Nigerian business websites using their phones. Your website needs to look good on: Phones Tablets Computers Inside Solo, check the mobile version of your website. Look for problems such as: Text being too large Images being cut off Buttons being difficult to click Sections looking crowded Text being difficult to read If something looks wrong, adjust it. LESSON 9 — TEST EVERY BUTTON Don't assume your buttons work. Test them yourself. Click: WhatsApp Does WhatsApp open? Click: Call Us Does the phone number work? Click: Instagram Does the correct Instagram page open? Click: Contact Us Does it take you to the correct page? Do this before giving a website to a client. LESSON 10 — VIEW YOUR WEBSITE AS A CUSTOMER This is one of the most important habits you can develop as a website builder. Don't only look at the website as the person who built it. Look at it as a customer. Ask: "If I have never heard of this business before, would I understand what they do?" "Can I find their products or services?" "Can I contact them easily?" "Does the website look trustworthy?" "Does it work properly on my phone?" If the answer is yes, you're doing a good job. MODULE 5 PRACTICAL TASK Now improve your website. Choose 2–3 website colors Choose simple fonts Replace poor-quality images Improve your main heading Make your text shorter and clearer Check your buttons Remove unnecessary sections Check the mobile version Test every button Check every page Final Challenge Open your website on your phone. Spend 5 minutes using it like a normal customer . Don't edit anything during those 5 minutes. Just browse. Notice anything that feels confusing, ugly, broken, or difficult to use. Then go back and fix those problems. NEXT MODULE MODULE 6 — ADDING WHATSAPP & CONTACT FEATURES In the next module, we'll make the website useful for getting real customers by adding WhatsApp, phone numbers, email, contact forms, and social media links.

WEBSITE COURSE - MODULE 6 TO MODULE 10

MODULE 6 — ADDING WHATSAPP & CONTACT FEATURES What You Will Learn A website should not only look good. It should also make it easy for customers to contact the business . In this module, you will learn how to add: WhatsApp Phone numbers Email Contact forms Social media links LESSON 1 — ADDING WHATSAPP WhatsApp is very useful for businesses because customers can contact the business directly. You can add WhatsApp to: Buttons The Contact page The homepage The footer Example Instead of having a button that says: Contact Us You can use: Chat With Us on WhatsApp When the customer clicks it, WhatsApp opens. What you need You need the business's WhatsApp number. For example: 2348070000000 When creating the WhatsApp link, remember that the country code is used instead of the first 0 . So: 08070000000 becomes: 2348070000000 LESSON 2 — ADDING A WHATSAPP MESSAGE You can make the WhatsApp button open with a ready-made message. For example: Hello, I would like to make an enquiry about your services. This saves the customer time. You can also create different messages for different buttons. Example Order Now Message: Hello, I would like to place an order. Book Now Message: Hello, I would like to book your service. LESSON 3 — ADDING A PHONE NUMBER Some customers prefer to call. Add the business phone number somewhere easy to find. Good places include: Contact page Homepage Footer Header Example Call Us 07000000000 If Solo allows the phone number to be made clickable, set it up so that customers can tap the number on their phones. LESSON 4 — ADDING EMAIL If the business uses email, add it to the website. For example: Email Us info@business.com Email can be useful for: Customer enquiries Business enquiries Partnerships Sending documents Professional communication If the business doesn't have an email address, you don't have to create one just for the website. LESSON 5 — ADDING A CONTACT FORM A contact form allows visitors to send their information through the website. A simple form might ask for: Name Phone Number Email Message Example Contact Us Name: __________ Phone: __________ Email: __________ Message: __________ [Send Message] Don't ask for too much information. Only collect information that the business actually needs. LESSON 6 — ADDING SOCIAL MEDIA Many businesses already have social media accounts. You can add links to: Instagram Facebook TikTok YouTube LinkedIn Example Follow Us Instagram Facebook TikTok When a customer clicks the icon or button, they should be taken to the correct social media account. LESSON 7 — PUT CONTACT INFORMATION IN THE RIGHT PLACES Don't hide the contact information. A customer shouldn't have to search through the entire website just to find WhatsApp. A simple setup could be: Homepage Chat on WhatsApp Header Call Us Contact Page Phone WhatsApp Email Location Contact Form Footer Phone Email Social Media LESSON 8 — TEST EVERYTHING This is extremely important. After adding your contact features, test them. WhatsApp Click the WhatsApp button. Does WhatsApp open? Phone Tap the phone number. Does it allow you to call? Email Click the email address. Does it open your email application? Contact Form Submit a test message. Does the message get received? Social Media Click each social media icon. Does it open the correct account? Never give a website to a client without testing these features. MODULE 6 PRACTICAL TASK Now add contact features to your website. Add WhatsApp Add a WhatsApp button Add a phone number Add email if available Add a contact form Add social media links Test WhatsApp Test the phone number Test the email Test the contact form Test social media links Your goal When someone visits your website, they should be able to answer one important question: "How do I contact this business?" If they can find the answer quickly, you've done it correctly. NEXT MODULE MODULE 7 — CONNECTING YOUR DOMAIN & PUBLISHING YOUR WEBSITE In the next module, you will learn how to take the website you've built and make it available live on the internet using a professional domain name. MODULE 7 — CONNECTING YOUR DOMAIN & PUBLISHING YOUR WEBSITE What You Will Learn In this module, you will learn how to take the website you've built and put it live on the internet . You will learn: What a domain is How to choose a domain How to get a domain How to connect it to Solo How to publish your website How to test your live website LESSON 1 — WHAT IS A DOMAIN? A domain is the address of your website . For example: google.com facebook.com berlainwolftech.com When someone types your domain into their browser, they can visit your website. Think of it like a house. Your website is the house. Your domain is the address people use to find the house. LESSON 2 — CHOOSING A DOMAIN NAME Your domain should be: Short Avoid extremely long names. Easy to remember People should be able to remember it. Easy to spell Avoid complicated spellings when possible. Related to the business For example: Noble Fashion Possible domain: noblefashion.com LESSON 3 — CHOOSING A DOMAIN EXTENSION The ending of a domain is called a domain extension . Examples: .com .ng .org For most businesses, .com is a good choice when available. For Nigerian businesses, .ng can also be a good option. Example noblefashion.com or noblefashion.ng Don't worry if the exact domain you want isn't available. You can try another suitable name. LESSON 4 — GETTING YOUR DOMAIN A domain is purchased from a domain registrar . Before buying one, check that the domain name is available. Example You want: noblefashion.com Search for the domain. If it is available, you can purchase it. If it isn't available, try another name. Important Be careful when choosing a domain. Make sure you are buying the domain for the correct business name. Also keep your domain login information safe. LESSON 5 — CONNECTING YOUR DOMAIN TO SOLO Once you have your domain, you can connect it to your website. Inside Solo, look for the area related to: Domain or Custom Domain Solo will guide you through the connection process. You may be asked to make changes to your domain settings with the company where you purchased the domain. Don't panic if you see technical terms. Simply follow the instructions Solo provides. Important Domain connection instructions can change depending on your domain provider and Solo's current setup. Always follow the instructions shown in your Solo account. LESSON 6 — PUBLISHING YOUR WEBSITE Before publishing, don't rush. First, check your website. Now test it like a customer. Click through every page. Try the WhatsApp button. Try the phone number. Check the images. Check the website on your phone. LESSON 8 — WHAT IF SOMETHING DOESN'T WORK? Don't panic. Website problems happen. If your domain doesn't work immediately, it may simply need some time to update. If a button doesn't work: Go back to the editor → check the link → save → publish again. If an image is wrong: Go back → replace the image → save → publish again. If a page is missing: Check your website menu and page settings. The most important thing is to stay calm and troubleshoot one problem at a time. MODULE 7 PRACTICAL TASK Now make your website live. Choose a domain name Check if the domain is available Purchase your domain Connect the domain to Solo Check your website Publish the website Open your domain Test every page Test WhatsApp Test phone number Test buttons Check the website on your phone Your Goal At the end of this module, you should have: A professional website that is live on the internet. MODULE 8 — BUILD A COMPLETE WEBSITE What You Will Learn In this module, we are going to put everything you've learned together. Instead of learning individual features, you will now build a complete website from beginning to end . For this project, we'll use a fictional business called Noble Cleaning Services . You can follow along using your own business if you prefer. LESSON 1 — UNDERSTAND THE BUSINESS Before building a website, we need to understand the business. Business Name Noble Cleaning Services Business Type Cleaning company Location Port Harcourt, Nigeria Services Home Cleaning Office Cleaning Deep Cleaning Post-Construction Cleaning Contact WhatsApp: 08000000000 Phone: 08000000000 LESSON 2 — PLAN THE WEBSITE We don't need too many pages. For this business, we'll create: Home About Us Services Contact Us That's enough. Remember: A good website doesn't have to be complicated. LESSON 3 — CREATE THE WEBSITE Open Solo. Create a new website. Enter the business information. For example: Noble Cleaning Services is a professional cleaning company based in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. We provide reliable cleaning services for homes, offices and businesses. Let Solo generate the initial website. Once it is ready, open the website editor. LESSON 4 — EDIT THE HOMEPAGE Now we'll customize the homepage. Main Heading Change the heading to: Professional Cleaning Services in Port Harcourt Description Add: Reliable cleaning services for homes, offices and businesses. Main Button Change the button to: Book a Cleaning You can connect this button to WhatsApp. LESSON 5 — ADD THE SERVICES Create a Services section. Add the four services: Home Cleaning Professional cleaning services for homes and apartments. Office Cleaning Keep your workplace clean and comfortable. Deep Cleaning Detailed cleaning for homes and businesses. Post-Construction Cleaning Cleaning services for newly completed buildings and renovations. Keep the descriptions short. LESSON 6 — CREATE THE ABOUT PAGE Create the About Us page. Add a simple explanation of the business. For example: Noble Cleaning Services provides reliable cleaning solutions for homes, offices and businesses in Port Harcourt. Our goal is to make every space cleaner, healthier and more comfortable. You can also add: Why Choose Us? Reliable service Professional cleaners Quality work Flexible scheduling LESSON 7 — CREATE THE CONTACT PAGE Create the Contact page. Add: Phone 08000000000 WhatsApp Chat With Us Location Port Harcourt, Rivers State Contact Form Add: Name Phone Message Send Message Make sure everything is working. LESSON 8 — ADD IMAGES Now replace the sample images with suitable cleaning images. Use images that show things like: Cleaning homes Cleaning offices Professional cleaners Cleaning equipment Clean spaces Make sure the images are clear and relevant. Don't use random images just because they look nice. Every image should help visitors understand the business. LESSON 9 — CHECK THE DESIGN Now look at the entire website. Ask: Are the colors consistent? Are the fonts easy to read? Are the images good? Is there too much text? Are the buttons clear? Does the website look good on mobile? Fix anything that doesn't look right. LESSON 10 — TEST THE WEBSITE Before publishing, test everything. Test the menu Click every page. Test the buttons Click every button. Test WhatsApp Make sure it opens the correct WhatsApp number. Test the contact form Send a test message. Test the phone number Make sure it is correct. Test mobile Open the website on your phone. LESSON 11 — CONNECT THE DOMAIN Choose a domain for the business. For example: noblecleaningservices.com Check if it is available. Purchase the domain and connect it to Solo following the instructions provided by Solo. LESSON 12 — PUBLISH THE WEBSITE Once everything is ready: Publish the website. Open the domain. Look at your finished website. Congratulations! You have just built a complete business website. YOUR COMPLETE WEBSITE CHECKLIST Before calling the project finished, make sure: Business name is correct Homepage is complete About page is complete Services page is complete Contact page is complete Images are relevant Phone number is correct WhatsApp works Contact form works Buttons work Menu works Website looks good on mobile Domain is connected Website is published YOUR PRACTICAL PROJECT Now it's your turn. Build a complete website for your own business or a business you choose . You should be able to take everything you've learned so far and build the website without following every single click from the previous modules. Your goal: Start with a business idea → Build the website → Customize it → Add contact features → Connect the domain → Publish it. Once you can do this on your own, you have learned the basic website-building skill . NEXT MODULE MODULE 9 — HOW TO BUILD WEBSITES FOR CLIENTS Now that you know how to build a website, we're going to learn how to turn this skill into a business . You'll learn how to find people who need websites, what information to ask them for, how to price your work, and how to deliver the finished website. MODULE 9 — BUILDING WEBSITES FOR CLIENTS What You Will Learn Now that you can build a website, you can start using the skill to make money . In this module, you'll learn how to: Find people who need websites Talk to potential clients Collect the information you need Decide what to charge Build the website Deliver the finished website You don't need to start with big companies. Start small. LESSON 1 — WHO NEEDS A WEBSITE? Almost any business can benefit from a website. Look for businesses such as: Fashion businesses Restaurants Hotels Salons Barbers Real estate businesses Car dealers Logistics companies Cleaning companies Event planners Photographers Construction companies Schools Consultants Online businesses A good place to start is with businesses around you . LESSON 2 — HOW TO FIND BUSINESSES You don't need to wait for clients to find you. You can actively look for them. Look on: Instagram Search for businesses and check whether they have a website. Facebook Look at business pages and groups. Google Search for businesses in your city. WhatsApp Tell friends, family and business owners that you build websites. Your local area Visit businesses and introduce your service. LESSON 3 — FIND BUSINESSES WITHOUT WEBSITES This is one of the easiest ways to find potential clients. Imagine you find a restaurant with: Good food Good pictures Active Instagram Many customers But they don't have a website. That's a potential client. You can contact them and explain how a website could help their business. LESSON 4 — HOW TO CONTACT A POTENTIAL CLIENT Don't immediately send: "Do you need a website?" Instead, show that you understand their business. Example Hello, I came across your business on Instagram and I really like what you're doing. I noticed you don't currently have a website, so I wanted to reach out. I build professional websites for businesses that help customers easily see their services, products and contact information. I'd be happy to show you what I can create for your business. Keep your message short and professional . LESSON 5 — DON'T TRY TO SELL TOO HARD When someone responds, don't immediately start talking about price. First, understand what they need. Ask questions such as: What does your business do? What services or products do you offer? Do you currently have a website? What would you like the website to help you achieve? Do you already have a domain name? Do you have pictures and business information ready? Their answers will help you understand the project. LESSON 6 — COLLECT THE CLIENT'S INFORMATION Before starting the website, collect everything you need. Business Information Business name Business description Location Phone number WhatsApp number Email Social media Products/Services Product names Service names Prices, if applicable Descriptions Images Ask the client to send: Logo Product pictures Business pictures Team pictures Other relevant images Website Requirements Ask: What pages do you need? Do you want WhatsApp? Do you need a booking form? Do you need a product section? Do you already have a domain? LESSON 7 — AGREE ON THE PRICE BEFORE STARTING This is very important. Don't build the entire website before agreeing on the price. Tell the client: What you will build How much it will cost What is included What is not included How payment will work Example Business Website — ₦150,000 Includes: Professional website Up to 5 pages Mobile-friendly design WhatsApp integration Contact form Domain setup Website publishing You can create your own packages based on the type of website you're building. LESSON 8 — GET A DEPOSIT For client work, consider collecting a deposit before you begin. For example: Total: ₦150,000 Deposit: ₦50,000 Balance: ₦100,000 The deposit confirms that the client is ready for you to start. Never assume that someone is serious simply because they say: "Go ahead." Get the agreed payment first. LESSON 9 — BUILD THE CLIENT'S WEBSITE Once the client provides the information and your payment arrangement is confirmed: Start building. Follow the process you've already learned: Plan → Create → Edit → Add Pages → Add Images → Add Contact Features → Test → Publish Don't rush. Your goal is to give the client a website that looks professional and works properly. LESSON 10 — SHOW THE CLIENT THE WEBSITE When the first version is ready, send the client the website preview or link. Ask them to review it. Tell them to check: Business information Images Services Products Contact information Phone number WhatsApp Other important details If something needs to be corrected, make the agreed changes. LESSON 11 — DON'T OFFER UNLIMITED CHANGES This is important when working with clients. A client may keep saying: "Change this." Then: "Change that." Then: "Let's change the whole design." To avoid this, clearly explain how many revisions are included. For example: Package includes 2 rounds of revisions. A revision means a reasonable set of changes requested by the client. Major changes outside the agreed scope can be charged separately. LESSON 12 — DELIVER THE WEBSITE Once the client approves the website and the remaining payment has been made: Deliver the website. Give them: Live website link Domain information Important login information, where appropriate Basic instructions for using the website Keep records of the project. LESSON 13 — ASK FOR A TESTIMONIAL After completing the project, ask the client for a testimonial. For example: "Thank you for working with us. If you're happy with the website, we'd really appreciate a short review about your experience." A good testimonial can help you get your next client. You can also ask the client if they know another business that may need a website. That's how one client can lead to another client. MODULE 9 PRACTICAL TASK Your task is to pretend that you have received your first client. Choose a business and prepare: Business name Business description Services/products Phone number WhatsApp number Location Social media Required website pages Website price Payment/deposit amount Then practice sending your client introduction message. YOUR CLIENT WORKFLOW Remember this simple process: 1. FIND Find a business that needs a website. 2. CONTACT Reach out professionally. 3. DISCOVER Ask what they need. 4. QUOTE Give them your price. 5. GET STARTED Collect the agreed deposit and information. 6. BUILD Create the website. 7. REVIEW Let the client check it. 8. COMPLETE Make the agreed changes. 9. GET PAID Collect the remaining balance. 10. DELIVER Hand over the finished website. 11. GET TESTIMONIAL Ask for a review and referral. NEXT MODULE MODULE 10 — GETTING YOUR FIRST CLIENT In the next module, we'll focus specifically on how to get your first paying website client , including building your portfolio, finding businesses, sending messages, and promoting your website service. MODULE 10 — GETTING YOUR FIRST CLIENT What You Will Learn You now know how to build a website. The next question is: "How do I get someone to pay me to build one?" In this module, you'll learn simple ways to find your first client. You don't need a large audience. You don't need thousands of followers. You just need to find businesses that need what you offer and approach them properly. LESSON 1 — BUILD YOUR PORTFOLIO Before asking someone to pay you, it's helpful to have examples of your work. Your portfolio is simply a collection of websites you've built. You don't need 20 websites. Start with 2–3 good examples . Example portfolio Build websites for: 1. Restaurant 2. Fashion business 3. Real estate business These can be demo businesses if you don't have clients yet. LESSON 2 — BUILD DEMO WEBSITES You can create websites specifically for practice. For example: Demo 1 Noble Fashion Fashion website. Demo 2 Noble Eats Restaurant website. Demo 3 Noble Properties Real estate website. You don't need to actually own these businesses. You're simply showing potential clients: "This is what I can build." LESSON 3 — CREATE A SIMPLE PORTFOLIO You can create one website that displays your work. For example: BERLAIN WOLF TECH Professional Website Design Then show: Website Example 1 [View Website] Website Example 2 [View Website] Website Example 3 [View Website] Add a button: Build My Website This gives potential clients somewhere to see your work. LESSON 4 — FIND BUSINESSES ON INSTAGRAM Instagram is a great place to look for businesses. Search for businesses in your area. For example: Restaurants in Port Harcourt Fashion designers in Port Harcourt Real estate companies in Port Harcourt Hotels in Port Harcourt Look at their profiles. Ask: Do they have a website? If they don't, they could be a potential client. LESSON 5 — FIND BUSINESSES ON FACEBOOK Do the same thing on Facebook. Look for: Business pages Local business groups Entrepreneurs Small business owners Service providers Look for businesses that are active but don't have a website. These businesses are worth contacting. LESSON 6 — USE WHATSAPP You can also get clients through people you already know. Tell: Friends Family Colleagues Business owners Church/community contacts Other entrepreneurs that you build websites. Example You could send: Hi, I recently started offering professional website design for businesses. If you know any business owner who needs a website, I'd really appreciate a referral. You never know who might know someone who needs your service. LESSON 7 — DIRECTLY CONTACT BUSINESSES This is called direct outreach . You find a potential client and contact them yourself. Don't send hundreds of random messages. Instead, find businesses that genuinely look like they could benefit from a website. Simple message Hello, I came across your business and I really like what you're doing. I noticed you don't currently have a website. I build professional websites for businesses and I'd love to create one for your brand. Can I show you an example of my work? Short. Friendly. Professional. LESSON 8 — SHOW YOUR WORK If the person responds: "Yes, send it." Don't send a long explanation. Send your portfolio. For example: Absolutely. Here are some examples of websites I've built: [Website 1] [Website 2] [Website 3] Then ask: Would you like me to create something similar for your business? LESSON 9 — DON'T LEAD WITH PRICE When contacting someone for the first time, don't make your first message: "I build websites for ₦100,000. Do you want one?" Instead: Start a conversation. Understand their business. Show them what you can do. Then discuss pricing. This makes the conversation much more natural. LESSON 10 — USE SOCIAL MEDIA TO ATTRACT CLIENTS Don't only contact people. Let people discover you too. Post your website work on: Instagram Facebook TikTok WhatsApp Status Example post Does your business need a professional website? We build clean, mobile-friendly websites for businesses. WhatsApp us today to get started. Then show a screenshot or video of a website you've built. LESSON 11 — SHOW BEFORE & AFTER This is a great way to demonstrate your skill. Show: BEFORE A business with no website or poor online presence. Then: AFTER A professional website you've created. This helps potential clients understand the value of your service. LESSON 12 — DON'T EXPECT EVERYONE TO SAY YES This is normal. You might contact 10 businesses and get: 7 — No response 2 — Not interested 1 — Interested That's okay. The goal is not to convince everyone. The goal is to find the businesses that actually need your service. Don't become discouraged when someone says no. Move on and keep looking. LESSON 13 — FOLLOW UP Sometimes a potential client is interested but gets busy. You can follow up later. For example: Hello, just following up on our conversation about the website for your business. Let me know if you'd still like to discuss it. I'd be happy to help. Don't spam people. One or two polite follow-ups are enough. MODULE 10 PRACTICAL TASK Now it's time to take action. Step 1 Build 2 demo websites . Demo Website 1 Demo Website 2 Step 2 Create a simple portfolio. Add your website examples Add your contact information Add your WhatsApp button Step 3 Find 10 businesses that don't have websites. Write down: Business name Business type Phone/WhatsApp Instagram/Facebook What they do Step 4 Contact them professionally. Send your introduction message. Step 5 If someone responds, show them your portfolio and start a conversation. YOUR FIRST CLIENT GOAL Don't focus on getting 10 clients immediately. Focus on getting: ONE CLIENT. One client gives you: Experience Money A real project A testimonial A portfolio example Confidence Then you can use that experience to get the next client. THE SIMPLE FORMULA Remember: BUILD → SHOW → CONTACT → FOLLOW UP → CLOSE → DELIVER → GET REFERRALS That's how you turn your website-building skill into a business. COURSE COMPLETION Congratulations! You now understand the basic process of: Creating a website → Making it professional → Adding contact features → Publishing it → Building websites for clients → Finding customers But there is still one important skill to learn: How to use AI to build websites faster. BONUS MODULE — USING AI TO BUILD WEBSITES FASTER In the final module, you'll learn how to use AI to help you create: Website content Headlines Business descriptions Service descriptions Product descriptions Images Marketing content This will help you build websites faster and more efficiently .

ADS COURSE - MODULE 1 TO MODULE 4

MODULE 1 — INTRODUCTION TO FACEBOOK & INSTAGRAM ADS Welcome to Facebook & Instagram Advertising Before we create our first advert, you need to understand what advertising actually is and how it works . Don't worry about complicated terms. This module is simply about understanding the basics. LESSON 1 — WHAT ARE FACEBOOK & INSTAGRAM ADS? Facebook and Instagram ads are paid advertisements that businesses use to show their products or services to people on Facebook and Instagram. For example, imagine you sell: Men's Shoes You can create an advert showing your shoes. Meta can then show that advert to people who may be interested in buying shoes. Instead of waiting for people to discover your business, you are paying to put your business in front of potential customers. LESSON 2 — HOW DOES ADVERTISING WORK? The basic idea is very simple: YOU You have a product or service. ↓ YOUR AD You create an image, video and message explaining what you're offering. ↓ YOUR AUDIENCE You choose the type of people you want to reach. ↓ META Facebook and Instagram show your advert to people based on the settings you choose. ↓ CUSTOMER Someone sees your advert and takes an action. That action could be: Sending you a WhatsApp message Visiting your website Filling out a form Calling your business Buying a product Booking a service That's the basic advertising process. LESSON 3 — ORGANIC VS PAID CONTENT There are two common ways businesses reach people on social media. ORGANIC You make a normal post on Facebook or Instagram. Your followers may see it. You don't directly pay Meta to distribute that post as an advertisement. For example: "New shoes available! Send us a message to order." You post it on your Instagram page. PAID You pay Meta to promote your message to a selected audience. For example: New Men's Shoes Available You create an advert and choose who you want to reach. You could choose people in: Port Harcourt who are within a certain age range and may be interested in fashion. LESSON 4 — WHY DO BUSINESSES RUN ADS? Businesses run ads because they want to achieve a specific result. For example: GET MORE CUSTOMERS A restaurant wants more people to order food. GET WHATSAPP MESSAGES A fashion business wants people to message them about available products. GET WEBSITE VISITORS A business wants people to visit its website. GET LEADS A real estate company wants people interested in buying property to provide their contact details. GET SALES An online store wants people to purchase products. PROMOTE A SERVICE A cleaning company wants people to book cleaning services. LESSON 5 — ADS ARE NOT MAGIC This is one of the most important things to understand. Running an advert does not automatically guarantee sales. You can spend money on an advert and get poor results. Why? Because many things affect the result. For example: Your product Your price Your offer Your advert Your audience Your landing page Your website How you respond to customers Your competition So don't think: "If I spend ₦10,000, I must make ₦50,000." It doesn't work that way. Your job is to test, learn and improve. LESSON 6 — WHAT MAKES A GOOD AD? A good advert should answer three simple questions: 1. WHAT ARE YOU OFFERING? Tell people what you're selling. Example: Professional Business Websites 2. WHY SHOULD THEY CARE? Give them a reason to be interested. Example: Get a professional website that helps customers find and contact your business. 3. WHAT SHOULD THEY DO? Tell them what to do next. Example: Send us a WhatsApp message today. LESSON 7 — UNDERSTAND YOUR CUSTOMER Before creating an advert, think about the person who is most likely to buy. For example, imagine you sell wedding dresses. Your customer may be: Someone planning a wedding Interested in fashion Looking for wedding dresses Living in the area you serve Your advert should speak directly to that person. Don't simply create an advert and show it to everyone without thinking. Ask yourself: Who is most likely to buy this? LESSON 8 — WHAT DO YOU NEED BEFORE RUNNING AN AD? Before you create your first campaign, you should have a few things ready. 1. A Facebook Account You'll need a Facebook account to access Meta's advertising tools. 2. An Instagram Account If you want your ads to appear on Instagram, connect your Instagram account. 3. A Facebook Page Your business should have a Facebook Page. 4. Something to Advertise This could be: Product Service Course Event Website Business 5. An Advert You need something people will see. This could be: Image Video Carousel Text 6. A Destination Where should people go after seeing the advert? For example: WhatsApp Website Facebook Page Instagram Lead Form 7. A Budget You need money to run a paid advert. You can start with a small test budget. LESSON 9 — DON'T START WITH A HUGE BUDGET As a beginner, you don't need to immediately spend a large amount of money. Start small. Your first goal is not necessarily to make a huge profit. Your first goal is to learn what works. For example, you might test an advert with a small daily budget. If the advert performs well, you can consider increasing the budget. If it performs poorly, you can make changes and test again. LESSON 10 — THE ADVERTISING MINDSET Successful advertising requires testing. You might create: Ad A and it performs poorly. Then you create: Ad B and it performs better. That's normal. You learn from the results. Don't immediately assume: "Facebook ads don't work." Instead ask: "What can I change?" Maybe you need: A better image A better video A better offer Different wording A different audience A better landing page Advertising is a process of testing and improving. MODULE 1 PRACTICAL TASK Before moving to Module 2, choose one thing you would like to advertise. It can be your: Business Product Service Course Website Another business you are helping Write down: What am I advertising? Who is most likely to buy it? Where should interested people go? WhatsApp / Website / Phone / Form / Other What do I want people to do? Message / Buy / Book / Call / Sign Up How much can I afford to spend testing the advert? MODULE 1 CHECKPOINT Before moving forward, make sure you understand these five things: 1. What are Facebook and Instagram ads? Paid advertisements used to promote products, services or businesses. 2. Why do businesses run ads? To reach potential customers and achieve a specific goal. 3. What is an audience? The people you want your advert to reach. 4. What is the goal of an advert? The action you want people to take, such as messaging, visiting a website or making a purchase. 5. Do ads guarantee sales? No. You need to test, measure and improve your advertising. YOUR GOAL FOR MODULE 1 By the end of this module, you should understand one simple idea: Facebook and Instagram advertising is about putting the right offer in front of the right people and encouraging them to take the right action. Once you understand that, you're ready to start setting up the tools you'll use to run your first advert. NEXT MODULE MODULE 2 — SETTING UP YOUR META ACCOUNTS In the next module, we'll prepare your Facebook Page, Instagram account and Meta advertising tools so you can start creating real campaigns. MODULE 2 — SETTING UP YOUR META ACCOUNTS What You Will Learn Before you can run Facebook and Instagram ads, you need to prepare your accounts. In this module, we'll set up the basic things you need: Facebook account Facebook Page Instagram account Meta Business tools Ads Manager Don't worry if some of these names sound complicated. We'll explain each one simply. LESSON 1 — YOUR FACEBOOK ACCOUNT Your personal Facebook account is used to access Meta's business and advertising tools. You don't need to use your personal profile as your business page. Think of it this way: Your Facebook account → gives you access to your business tools. Your Facebook Page → represents your business. What you need to do If you already have a Facebook account: Use your existing account. If you don't have one: Create a Facebook account first. Make sure the information on your account is accurate and that you can access the email or phone number connected to it. LESSON 2 — CREATE A FACEBOOK PAGE A Facebook Page is the public profile for your business. For example: Berlain Wolf Tech could have a Facebook Page where customers can: Learn about the business See posts Contact the business Visit the website Send messages Creating your Page Look for the option to create a Page on Facebook. You'll be asked for information such as: Page Name Example: Noble Fashion Category Choose the category that best describes the business. Examples: Clothing Store Restaurant Marketing Agency Real Estate Company Education Beauty Salon Description Write a short description explaining what the business does. Example Noble Fashion provides quality men's and women's clothing in Port Harcourt. LESSON 3 — COMPLETE YOUR FACEBOOK PAGE After creating the Page, add the important information. Add: Business name Profile picture or logo Cover image Description Phone number WhatsApp Website Location Business hours You don't have to make the Page perfect yet. The important thing is to make sure the information is correct and professional . LESSON 4 — CREATE OR PREPARE YOUR INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT If the business doesn't already have Instagram, create an account. Use the business name where possible. For example: @noblefashion If the exact username isn't available, choose something simple and related to the business. Example: @noblefashionph or @noblefashion_ng Try to keep the username easy to remember. LESSON 5 — CHANGE TO A PROFESSIONAL INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT For business advertising, it's useful to have a professional Instagram account. Instagram provides professional account options designed for businesses and creators. Follow Instagram's current setup instructions to switch your account to a Professional/Business account where appropriate. This gives you access to useful business features and insights. LESSON 6 — CONNECT FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM Connecting your Facebook Page and Instagram account makes managing your business easier. It also allows Meta to use the connected accounts when creating and managing advertising campaigns. What you want: Facebook Page ↕ Instagram Account Both should represent the same business . For example: Facebook: Noble Fashion Instagram: @noblefashion LESSON 7 — UNDERSTANDING META BUSINESS TOOLS Now let's talk about the tools you'll use. Meta has several business tools. The names and layout can change over time, but the basic idea remains the same. Meta Business Suite This is where you can manage things such as: Facebook Instagram Messages Posts Basic business activity Insights Think of it as your business control center . LESSON 8 — UNDERSTANDING ADS MANAGER Ads Manager is where you'll create and manage your advertisements. This is where you will eventually: Create campaigns Choose objectives Select audiences Set budgets Create adverts Launch campaigns Check results Think of Ads Manager as the place where you control your advertising. You don't need to understand everything inside it yet. We'll learn it step by step in the next modules. LESSON 9 — ADD A PAYMENT METHOD Before you can run a paid advert, Meta needs a way to charge you for your advertising spend. Depending on your account and country, Meta may provide different payment options. Go into your Meta advertising/payment settings and check which options are available to you. Important Make sure: Your payment information is correct Your payment method is active You understand your advertising budget You don't add more money than you can afford to spend Never give your payment information to another person simply because they claim they can "activate" your ads account. LESSON 10 — KEEP YOUR ACCOUNT SECURE Your advertising account is connected to your money and business. Protect it. Use: A strong password Two-factor authentication A secure email address A secure phone number Never share your Facebook password or verification codes with someone you don't trust. If you work with a freelancer or employee, use Meta's available business permissions rather than giving them your personal login details. MODULE 2 PRACTICAL TASK Now prepare your accounts. Facebook Create or access your Facebook account Create your Facebook Page Add your business name Add your logo Add your description Add your contact information Instagram Create or access your Instagram account Switch to a professional account if appropriate Add your business name Add your profile picture Add your bio Add your contact information Connect Connect your Facebook Page and Instagram account Access Meta Business Suite Find Ads Manager Check your payment options Secure your accounts with two-factor authentication MODULE 2 CHECKPOINT Before moving on, you should understand: Facebook Account Your personal account gives you access to Meta's tools. Facebook Page Your Page represents your business publicly. Instagram Your Instagram account represents your business on Instagram. Meta Business Suite Used to manage your business activities across Facebook and Instagram. Ads Manager Used to create and manage your advertising campaigns. YOUR GOAL FOR MODULE 2 By the end of this module, you should have your basic Meta setup ready. You don't need to know how to create an advert yet. For now, your goal is simply: Get your accounts ready → Connect your business → Find Ads Manager → Prepare for advertising. NEXT MODULE MODULE 3 — UNDERSTANDING META ADS Next, we'll open Ads Manager and explain the three most important parts of every campaign: Campaign → Ad Set → Ad Once you understand these three things, Meta Ads will become much easier to understand. MODULE 3 — UNDERSTANDING META ADS What You Will Learn When you first open Meta Ads Manager, it can look confusing. You may see terms like: Campaign Ad Set Ad Objective Audience Placement Budget Don't worry. In this module, we'll break everything down into simple terms . The most important thing to remember is: CAMPAIGN → AD SET → AD These are the three main levels of a Meta advertising campaign. LESSON 1 — WHAT IS A CAMPAIGN? A campaign is the main container for your advertising. At the campaign level, you tell Meta: "What am I trying to achieve?" For example, you might want: More WhatsApp messages More website visits More leads More sales More engagement Example Imagine you sell shoes. Your campaign could be: Men's Shoes — WhatsApp Campaign The main goal is to get people to contact you on WhatsApp. LESSON 2 — WHAT IS AN AD SET? The Ad Set is where you decide who should see your advert and how much you want to spend . This is where you usually work with things like: Audience Location Age Gender Budget Schedule Placements Example You are selling men's shoes in Port Harcourt. Your Ad Set might target: Location: Port Harcourt Age: 21–45 Gender: Men Budget: ₦5,000 per day The campaign says: "I want WhatsApp messages." The Ad Set says: "Show the advert to these people and spend this amount." LESSON 3 — WHAT IS AN AD? The Ad is what people actually see. This is your: Image Video Headline Main text Call-to-action Link or destination Example Your advert could show a picture of your shoes. The text might say: New Men's Sneakers Available Premium sneakers available in different sizes. Delivery available. Chat with us on WhatsApp to order. Then the customer sees your advert on Facebook or Instagram. LESSON 4 — UNDERSTANDING THE THREE LEVELS Let's put everything together. Imagine you're advertising a restaurant. CAMPAIGN Goal: Get WhatsApp Messages ↓ AD SET Location: Port Harcourt Age: 18–45 Budget: ₦5,000/day ↓ AD Image: Picture of food Text: "Hungry? Order your favourite meals today." Button: Send WhatsApp Message That's it. Think of it like this: Campaign = WHAT do I want? Ad Set = WHO should see it and HOW should I spend? Ad = WHAT will they see? LESSON 5 — WHAT IS AN OBJECTIVE? An objective is the result you want from your campaign. When you create a campaign, Meta asks you what you want to achieve. For example: Awareness You want more people to know about your business. Traffic You want people to visit somewhere, such as your website. Engagement You want people to interact with your content. Leads You want people to provide their information or become potential customers. Sales You want to encourage purchases or conversions. Meta's available objectives and interface can change, so always use the options currently shown inside your Ads Manager. LESSON 6 — CHOOSE YOUR OBJECTIVE BASED ON YOUR GOAL Don't choose an objective simply because it sounds good. Choose the objective that matches what you actually want. You want WhatsApp conversations? Choose the objective/setup that is designed to generate messages or conversations , based on the options currently available in your account. You want website visitors? Choose Traffic when appropriate. You want potential customers? Choose Leads when appropriate. You want purchases? Choose Sales when appropriate. The important thing is: Your campaign objective should match the action you want people to take. LESSON 7 — WHAT IS AN AUDIENCE? Your audience is the group of people you want your advert to reach. For example: You sell women's clothing. You might choose people based on: Location: Lagos Age: 20–45 Gender: Women You can also use other targeting options when appropriate. We'll learn audience targeting in much more detail in Module 5 . For now, just remember: Audience = The people you want to reach. LESSON 8 — WHAT ARE PLACEMENTS? Placements are the places where your advert can appear. Your advert may appear across Meta's platforms and surfaces, depending on the campaign and settings. Examples can include: Facebook Feed Instagram Feed Instagram Stories Facebook Stories Reels Other Meta placements Meta may recommend Advantage+ placements , which allow its system to distribute your advert across eligible placements. Don't worry about choosing the perfect placement yet. We'll discuss this later. LESSON 9 — WHAT IS A BUDGET? Your budget is how much money you're willing to spend on your campaign. You may see options such as: Daily Budget How much you want to spend per day. Example: ₦5,000 per day Lifetime Budget The total amount you want to spend during a set period. Example: ₦50,000 over 10 days Your available budget options can depend on the campaign setup. LESSON 10 — WHAT IS A CALL-TO-ACTION? A Call-to-Action , or CTA, tells people what you want them to do. Examples include: Shop Now Learn More Contact Us Send Message Book Now Sign Up Get Quote Your CTA should match the goal of the advert. Example If you want WhatsApp messages: Send Message If you want people to buy: Shop Now If you want bookings: Book Now LESSON 11 — WHERE DOES THE CUSTOMER GO? After someone clicks your advert, they need somewhere to go. This is called your destination . It could be: WhatsApp The customer starts a conversation. Website The customer visits your website. Product Page The customer views a specific product. Lead Form The customer submits their information. Other Destination Depending on your campaign. Always think about what happens after the click . A good advert can still perform poorly if the customer is sent to a confusing page. LESSON 12 — PUTTING EVERYTHING TOGETHER Let's imagine you're advertising a website design service. CAMPAIGN Goal: Generate leads ↓ AD SET Location: Nigeria Age: 23–45 Audience: Business owners and potential customers Budget: ₦5,000/day ↓ AD Image: Professional website design Text: Does your business need a professional website? Get a modern website designed for your business. CTA: Learn More Destination: Website or lead form This is how the different parts work together. MODULE 3 PRACTICAL TASK Create a simple imaginary campaign. You don't have to publish it yet. Choose a product or service. Campaign What do you want? Audience Who do you want to reach? Location Budget Advert What will people see? Call-to-Action What do you want them to do? Destination Where will they go? MODULE 3 CHECKPOINT Make sure you understand these: Campaign What do I want to achieve? Ad Set Who should see it, where, when and how should I spend? Ad What will people actually see? Audience Who am I trying to reach? Budget How much am I willing to spend? CTA What do I want people to do? Destination Where should they go after clicking? SIMPLE WAY TO REMEMBER IT CAMPAIGN WHAT DO I WANT? ↓ AD SET WHO SHOULD SEE IT? WHERE? WHEN? HOW MUCH? ↓ AD WHAT WILL THEY SEE? Once you understand these three levels, Meta Ads Manager becomes much easier to navigate. NEXT MODULE MODULE 4 — CREATING AN ADVERT Next, we'll learn how to create the actual advert — including the offer, image, video, text, headline and call-to-action that your customers will see. MODULE 4 — CREATING AN ADVERT What You Will Learn In this module, you will learn how to create the actual advert that people will see on Facebook and Instagram. A good advert doesn't need to be complicated. You mainly need: A good offer A good image or video Simple words A clear reason to act A clear call-to-action Think of your advert as a salesperson on your phone screen . Its job is to get someone's attention, explain what you're offering, and encourage them to take the next step. LESSON 1 — WHAT ARE YOU ADVERTISING? Before creating an advert, decide exactly what you're promoting. It could be: A product A service A course A website An event A special offer Your business Don't advertise everything at once. Example If you own a fashion business, instead of saying: "We sell everything fashion-related." You could advertise one specific product: Premium Men's Sneakers — ₦35,000 This makes the advert easier to understand. LESSON 2 — CREATE A GOOD OFFER An offer is what you're giving the customer. It doesn't always have to be a discount. Your offer could be: A product A service A special price Free delivery A free consultation A bonus A limited-time promotion A package Example Instead of: "We build websites." Try: Professional Business Website — ₦100,000 Or: Get Your Business Website From ₦100,000 The second version gives the customer something specific to consider. LESSON 3 — GET PEOPLE'S ATTENTION People scroll quickly on Facebook and Instagram. Your advert needs to make them stop for a moment. You can do this with: A strong headline Does Your Business Need a Website? An interesting image Show the product or result. A useful statement Turn Your Instagram Business Into a Professional Online Brand. A question Still Taking All Your Orders Through WhatsApp? The goal isn't to trick people. The goal is to make the right person interested. LESSON 4 — WRITE SIMPLE AD COPY Your ad copy is the text that appears with your advert. Don't make it unnecessarily complicated. A simple structure is: PROBLEM What problem does the customer have? SOLUTION What are you offering? BENEFIT Why should they care? ACTION What should they do? EXAMPLE Problem Finding it difficult to get customers online? Solution We create professional websites for businesses. Benefit Give your customers an easy way to learn about your business and contact you. Action Send us a message to get started. That's a simple advert. LESSON 5 — WRITE FOR THE CUSTOMER Don't make the advert only about your business. Focus on what the customer gets. Instead of: "We have been building websites for 10 years." Try: "Get a professional website that makes it easier for customers to find and contact your business." The second statement focuses more on the customer's benefit. LESSON 6 — USE A GOOD IMAGE Your image is one of the first things people notice. Your image should: Be clear Show what you're offering Look professional Be easy to understand Match your advert Example If you're advertising shoes: Show the shoes. If you're advertising a restaurant: Show the food. If you're advertising website design: Show examples of websites. Don't use an unrelated image just because it looks attractive. LESSON 7 — USING VIDEO Video can also be used for advertising. You don't need an expensive camera. A simple phone video can work if the content is good. Example For a fashion business: 0–3 seconds: Show the clothing. 3–7 seconds: Show different designs. 7–10 seconds: Show the price or offer. 10–15 seconds: Tell viewers how to order. Keep the video focused. Don't try to explain everything. LESSON 8 — CREATE A STRONG HEADLINE The headline should quickly communicate the main idea. Examples: Professional Websites From ₦100,000 Get Your Dream Kitchen Today Premium Sneakers Available Now Book Your Home Cleaning Today Learn How to Run Facebook Ads Keep your headline simple. The customer should understand what you're offering immediately. LESSON 9 — USE A CLEAR CALL-TO-ACTION Your advert needs to tell the customer what to do next. Examples: Send Us a Message Shop Now Book Now Get a Quote Learn More Order Now Example If you're selling through WhatsApp: Send us a WhatsApp message to order. If you're selling through a website: Click below to shop now. LESSON 10 — CREATE DIFFERENT TYPES OF ADS You don't always have to use the same format. You can create: IMAGE AD One main image. Good for simple products and services. VIDEO AD A short video showing the product, service or result. CAROUSEL AD Multiple images that people can swipe through. Useful for: Multiple products Different services Before-and-after images Different features Choose the format that makes sense for what you're advertising. LESSON 11 — DON'T PUT EVERYTHING IN ONE AD A common beginner mistake is trying to tell people everything. For example, imagine you're advertising a restaurant. You don't need to list: Every meal Every drink Every location Every staff member Every service Instead, focus on one message. Example Hungry? Try our freshly prepared meals today. Then show the food. Order Now Simple. LESSON 12 — YOUR AD SHOULD MATCH YOUR DESTINATION This is very important. If your advert says: Order Now but clicking the advert takes someone to a page where they can't order, that's a problem. The advert and destination should match. Example Ad: Buy Men's Sneakers ↓ Destination: Product page where they can buy the sneakers. Or: Ad: Chat With Us ↓ Destination: WhatsApp. Always think: What happens after the customer clicks? LESSON 13 — CREATE YOUR FIRST AD Now let's create a simple advert. Imagine you're advertising Berlain Wolf Tech website design . Offer Professional Business Website — ₦100,000 Main Text Does your business need a professional website? Get a modern, mobile-friendly website designed to help customers learn about your business and contact you easily. Send us a message to get started. Headline Professional Website — ₦100,000 Call-to-Action Send Message Destination WhatsApp That's a complete basic advert. MODULE 4 PRACTICAL TASK Choose a product or service and create your own advert. Fill this out: WHAT ARE YOU ADVERTISING? WHAT IS THE OFFER? WHAT PROBLEM DOES IT SOLVE? WHAT IS THE MAIN BENEFIT? WRITE YOUR AD TEXT HEADLINE CALL-TO-ACTION DESTINATION WhatsApp / Website / Lead Form / Other CREATIVE Image / Video / Carousel MODULE 4 CHECKPOINT Before moving on, ask yourself: Can someone understand my advert in a few seconds? Is the offer clear? Does the image or video match the offer? Have I explained why someone should care? Is my call-to-action clear? Does the destination match what I'm promising? If the answer is yes, you have the basic structure of a good advert. SIMPLE AD FORMULA Remember: ATTENTION Get the person to stop scrolling. ↓ OFFER Tell them what you're offering. ↓ BENEFIT Explain why it matters. ↓ ACTION Tell them what to do next. This simple formula will be used throughout the rest of the course. NEXT MODULE MODULE 5 — FINDING THE RIGHT AUDIENCE Next, you'll learn how to decide who should see your advert , including location, age, gender, interests and other targeting options.

ADS COURSE - MODULE 5 to MODULE 7

MODULE 5 — FINDING THE RIGHT AUDIENCE What You Will Learn Creating a good advert is only half the job. You also need to show that advert to the right people . Imagine you're selling baby clothes. You probably don't want to spend your entire advertising budget showing the advert to people who have no interest in buying baby clothes. You want to reach people who are more likely to be interested. That's what audience targeting is about. LESSON 1 — WHAT IS AN AUDIENCE? Your audience is simply: The people you want your advert to reach. For example, if you sell women's shoes, your audience might be: Women Age: 20–45 Location: Lagos If you offer house cleaning services in Port Harcourt, your audience could be: People living in Port Harcourt who are likely to need cleaning services. The right audience depends on what you're selling. LESSON 2 — START WITH YOUR CUSTOMER Before opening Ads Manager, think about your customer. Ask yourself: Who needs my product? Who can afford it? Where do they live? What age group are they? What problem are they trying to solve? What might they be interested in? Don't start by choosing random interests. Start with the customer . LESSON 3 — LOCATION Location tells Meta where you want your advert to be shown. For example: Port Harcourt Lagos Abuja Rivers State Nigeria You can choose locations based on where your customers are. Example If you run a restaurant that only delivers within Port Harcourt, there is little reason to advertise to people across Nigeria. Instead, focus your advertising on the areas you can actually serve. LESSON 4 — AGE You can choose an age range for your audience. For example: 18–35 25–45 30–60 But don't choose an age range just because it sounds right. Think about your actual customer. Example If you're selling a product mainly purchased by young adults, you may start with a younger audience. If you're advertising retirement planning, your audience may be older. The product should guide your decision. LESSON 5 — GENDER Depending on the product, you can choose: Men Women or Everyone Example If you're advertising: Women's Clothing you may start by targeting women. But don't assume gender automatically determines who buys something. For some products, both men and women may be customers. Choose based on the actual buying behaviour of your market. LESSON 6 — INTERESTS Meta may allow you to target people based on interests or related characteristics. For example, if you're advertising sports products, you may find relevant interests related to: Football Fitness Running Sports If you're advertising fashion products, relevant interests may include: Fashion Clothing Beauty Shopping Important Don't select dozens of random interests. Choose interests that actually make sense for the product. LESSON 7 — DON'T MAKE YOUR AUDIENCE TOO COMPLICATED A common beginner mistake is creating an extremely complicated audience. For example: People aged 21–35 Men Port Harcourt Interested in football Interested in Nike Interested in fitness Interested in online shopping Interested in ten other things You may be making the audience unnecessarily complicated. Start with a simple, logical audience . Then test and learn from the results. LESSON 8 — BROAD TARGETING You may also see options that allow Meta to use a broader audience. This means you don't have to manually select lots of interests. Instead, you give Meta basic information such as: Location Age and possibly other important settings. Meta's system can then try to find people who are likely to respond to your advert. When can broad targeting make sense? It can work well when: Your product has a large potential audience Your advert is clear You have enough data Meta has room to find likely customers You don't always need to tell Meta exactly who to show your advert to. LESSON 9 — YOUR AUDIENCE DEPENDS ON YOUR BUSINESS There is no single audience that works for every business. Example 1 — Restaurant Location: Port Harcourt Age: Adults who can order The restaurant may not need complicated interest targeting. Example 2 — Wedding Dresses Location: Cities the business serves Gender: Mainly women Age: Based on the typical customer Example 3 — Real Estate Location: Areas where properties are available Age: Adults who are potential buyers Example 4 — Website Design Location: Areas or countries the service can serve Audience: Business owners and people who may need websites The important thing is to understand who needs what you're selling. LESSON 10 — THINK ABOUT BUYING POWER Finding people who are interested isn't always enough. They also need to be able to afford your offer. Imagine you're selling a: ₦500,000 service You should think carefully about who is realistically able and willing to pay for it. This doesn't mean you should assume someone's income based on random characteristics. Instead, think about: The type of customer The type of business The problem you're solving The price of your product Where your customers are located LESSON 11 — DON'T TARGET EVERYONE Another beginner mistake is: "I'll advertise to everybody." This can waste money. If your product is only available in Port Harcourt, don't spend your entire budget reaching people who cannot buy from you. Your audience should match your actual market. LESSON 12 — TEST DIFFERENT AUDIENCES Sometimes you won't know the best audience until you test. You might create: AUDIENCE A Port Harcourt Adults Broad targeting AUDIENCE B Port Harcourt Adults Relevant interests Then compare the results. The goal isn't to guess perfectly. The goal is to test and learn. LESSON 13 — DON'T CHANGE TOO MANY THINGS AT ONCE Suppose you test two audiences. If you change: Audience Image Video Ad copy Offer Budget all at the same time, it becomes difficult to understand what caused the difference. When testing, try to keep most things the same and change one important variable at a time where practical. This makes your results easier to understand. LESSON 14 — YOUR AUDIENCE AND YOUR AD MUST MATCH This is very important. Imagine your audience is: Business owners But your advert talks about: "The best clothes for teenagers." That doesn't make sense. Your: Audience ↓ should match your Advert ↓ which should match your Offer ↓ which should match your Destination Everything should connect. MODULE 5 PRACTICAL TASK Choose the product or service you created an advert for in Module 4. Now create your target audience. PRODUCT/SERVICE WHO NEEDS IT? LOCATION AGE RANGE GENDER Men / Women / Everyone RELEVANT INTERESTS List only interests that make sense for your product. BROAD OR INTEREST-BASED? WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS AUDIENCE? MODULE 5 CHECKPOINT Before moving forward, make sure you understand: Location Where are my customers? Age What age range is most relevant? Gender Does gender matter for this product? Interests What interests may be relevant? Broad Targeting Can Meta find potential customers without me selecting lots of interests? Most Important Question Who is most likely to buy what I'm offering? SIMPLE AUDIENCE FORMULA Remember: WHO? Who needs the product? ↓ WHERE? Where are they located? ↓ HOW OLD? What age range makes sense? ↓ WHAT DO THEY CARE ABOUT? What interests or characteristics may be relevant? ↓ TEST Try an audience and learn from the results. NEXT MODULE MODULE 6 — CREATING & LAUNCHING YOUR FIRST AD Now we're going to put everything together. You will learn how to go into Ads Manager, choose your campaign objective, select your audience, set your budget, create your advert and publish your first campaign . MODULE 6 — CREATING & LAUNCHING YOUR FIRST AD What You Will Learn You've already learned: What Facebook and Instagram ads are How Meta Ads are structured How to create an advert How to choose an audience Now we're going to put everything together. In this module, you will create and launch your first real advertising campaign . Don't rush. Follow each step carefully. LESSON 1 — BEFORE YOU START Before opening Ads Manager, make sure you have: A Facebook Page An Instagram account, if you're using Instagram Your accounts connected where appropriate A product or service to advertise Your advert image or video Your ad text Your headline Your call-to-action Your target audience Your destination A payment method An advertising budget If you have these ready, you're ready to begin. LESSON 2 — OPEN ADS MANAGER Go to Meta Ads Manager through your Meta business tools. You'll see the option to create a new campaign. Select: Create Don't worry if your screen looks slightly different from the course. Meta regularly changes its interface. The names and locations of some buttons may change. The important thing is to understand what you're doing , not just memorizing where a button is. LESSON 3 — CHOOSE YOUR CAMPAIGN OBJECTIVE Meta will ask what you want to achieve. Choose the objective that matches your actual goal. For example: Want website visitors? Choose the appropriate Traffic setup. Want potential customers? Choose Leads . Want purchases? Choose Sales . Want people to message you? Choose the appropriate Engagement/Messaging setup available in your account. The exact options can change over time. Important Don't choose an objective simply because someone told you it is "the best." Choose the objective that matches your goal. LESSON 4 — NAME YOUR CAMPAIGN Give your campaign a name that makes sense. For example: Website Design — Messages — PH This tells you: What you're advertising What result you're looking for Where you're targeting You can use any naming system you like. The important thing is to make your campaigns easy to recognize later. LESSON 5 — CHECK YOUR CAMPAIGN SETTINGS Meta may show you additional campaign settings. You don't need to change everything. For now, focus on the settings that directly affect your campaign goal. If Meta gives you an option that you don't understand: Don't randomly change it. Use the current Meta guidance or leave the recommended setting when appropriate. LESSON 6 — SET UP YOUR AD SET Now move to the Ad Set level. Remember: Campaign = Goal Ad Set = Audience, budget, schedule and delivery settings This is where you'll make important decisions about who should see your advert. LESSON 7 — CHOOSE YOUR AUDIENCE Use the audience you planned in Module 5. For example: Location: Port Harcourt Age: 21–45 Gender: Everyone Interests: Relevant interests, if needed Don't add random interests. Everything should be connected to the product you're advertising. LESSON 8 — SET YOUR BUDGET Now decide how much you want to spend. For a beginner, it is usually better to start with a small test budget that you can afford to lose. For example: ₦3,000 per day or ₦5,000 per day The exact amount depends on: Your product Your target market Your goal Your available budget Don't spend money you cannot afford to lose. Important A bigger budget does not automatically mean better results. The goal at this stage is to test and learn. LESSON 9 — CHOOSE YOUR SCHEDULE You may be able to choose when your campaign starts and, depending on the setup, when it ends. For a simple test: Start Date: Choose when you're ready. End Date: Set one if you want the test to stop automatically. If you're using a daily budget, make sure you understand how long the campaign will run so you know approximately how much you're committing to spend. LESSON 10 — CHOOSE YOUR PLACEMENTS Placements determine where Meta can show your advert. You may see options for: Facebook Feed Instagram Feed Stories Reels Other Meta placements Meta may recommend Advantage+ placements . For beginners, using Meta's recommended placements can be a reasonable starting point because Meta can distribute the advert across eligible placements based on its system. However, always make sure your creative looks good in the placements you allow. LESSON 11 — MOVE TO THE AD LEVEL Now we're at the final level: The Ad Remember: This is what the customer will actually see. Now you'll add your creative and message. LESSON 12 — CHOOSE YOUR FACEBOOK PAGE & INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT Select the business identity you want to use. For example: Facebook Page: Berlain Wolf Tech Instagram: @berlainwolftech Make sure you're using the correct business accounts. LESSON 13 — ADD YOUR IMAGE OR VIDEO Upload the creative you prepared earlier. Before continuing, check: Is the image clear? Does the video look good? Does it show the product or service? Is the text easy to understand? Does it look good on mobile? If the answer is yes, continue. LESSON 14 — ADD YOUR PRIMARY TEXT Now enter the main text for your advert. For example: Does your business need a professional website? Get a modern website designed to help customers learn about your business and contact you easily. Send us a message to get started. Keep your message simple. LESSON 15 — ADD YOUR HEADLINE Your headline should support the main message. Example: Professional Website — ₦100,000 Keep it short and clear. LESSON 16 — CHOOSE YOUR CALL-TO-ACTION Choose the CTA that matches your goal. Examples: Send Message Learn More Shop Now Book Now Get Quote Don't choose a CTA that doesn't match your destination. LESSON 17 — CHOOSE YOUR DESTINATION Now tell Meta where people should go. Depending on your campaign, this could be: WhatsApp Website Lead Form or another supported destination. Example If your goal is WhatsApp messages: Advert → WhatsApp If your goal is website sales: Advert → Website/Product Page Make sure the destination works before launching. LESSON 18 — PREVIEW YOUR AD Before publishing, preview your advert. Look at it as if you're the customer. Check: Image Video Text Headline CTA Business name Destination Ask: Would I understand this advert if I saw it for the first time? If something looks wrong, fix it now. LESSON 19 — CHECK EVERYTHING BEFORE PUBLISHING This is your final check. Campaign Correct objective Correct campaign name Ad Set Correct audience Correct location Correct age Correct budget Correct schedule Placements checked Ad Correct Facebook Page Correct Instagram account Correct image/video Correct ad text Correct headline Correct CTA Correct destination LESSON 20 — PUBLISH YOUR AD Once you've checked everything, select: Publish Your advert will go through Meta's review process. Important Your advert may not become active immediately. Meta reviews advertisements before they can run. If your advert is approved, it can begin delivering according to your campaign settings. If it is rejected, Meta will normally provide information about the issue. Don't panic if your first advert is rejected. Read the reason carefully and fix the problem. LESSON 21 — DON'T EDIT YOUR AD EVERY FEW MINUTES Once your campaign is running, don't constantly change everything. Give your campaign some time to collect data. If you change the audience, budget, creative and objective every few hours, you won't know what is actually working. Instead: Launch → Observe → Collect data → Analyze → Improve We'll learn how to analyze your results in Module 8. YOUR FIRST CAMPAIGN EXAMPLE Let's put everything together. PRODUCT Professional Website CAMPAIGN GOAL Messages AUDIENCE Business owners/potential customers in Port Harcourt BUDGET ₦5,000/day CREATIVE Website design image AD TEXT Does your business need a professional website? Get a modern website designed to help customers showcase their business and make it easier for customers to contact them. Send us a message to get started. HEADLINE Professional Business Website CTA Send Message DESTINATION WhatsApp That's your complete campaign. MODULE 6 PRACTICAL TASK Now create your first campaign. STEP 1 Open Ads Manager Select Create Choose your objective STEP 2 Name your campaign Set up your Ad Set Choose your audience Set your budget Choose your schedule Review placements STEP 3 Create your Ad Select your Facebook Page Select Instagram Upload your image/video Add primary text Add headline Choose CTA Add destination STEP 4 Preview the advert Check everything Publish MODULE 6 CHECKPOINT You should now understand the complete process: CAMPAIGN Choose your goal. ↓ AD SET Choose your audience, budget and delivery settings. ↓ AD Create what people will see. ↓ REVIEW Check everything. ↓ PUBLISH Send the campaign for Meta's review. THE COMPLETE PROCESS PLAN Know what you're advertising. ↓ CREATE Build your advert. ↓ TARGET Choose your audience. ↓ BUDGET Decide what you can afford to spend. ↓ LAUNCH Publish your campaign. ↓ MEASURE Check what happened. ↓ IMPROVE Make better decisions based on the results. NEXT MODULE MODULE 7 — WHATSAPP & WEBSITE ADS In the next module, we'll look at what happens after someone clicks your advert and how to send potential customers to WhatsApp, websites, landing pages and lead forms. MODULE 7 — WHATSAPP & WEBSITE ADS What You Will Learn Getting someone to click your advert is only the beginning. You need to decide: Where should the person go after clicking my advert? For many businesses, the answer will be: WhatsApp For others, it may be: Website → Product/Service Page → Purchase or Enquiry In this module, we'll learn how to use both. LESSON 1 — WHAT IS A DESTINATION? A destination is simply where someone goes after interacting with your advert . For example: Advert → WhatsApp or Advert → Website or Advert → Lead Form Your destination should match your advertising goal. Example If you want people to ask questions: Advert → WhatsApp If you want people to buy a product: Advert → Product Page If you want people to request information: Advert → Lead Form LESSON 2 — WHY WHATSAPP IS USEFUL WhatsApp is especially useful for businesses that sell through conversations. For example: Fashion Real estate Car sales Catering Cleaning Website design Consulting Services Custom products Instead of sending the customer to a complicated website, you can send them directly into a conversation. Example Your advert says: Need a Professional Website? The customer clicks: Send Message They are taken to WhatsApp. Now you can speak directly with the potential customer. LESSON 3 — CREATE A GOOD WHATSAPP JOURNEY Don't make the customer work too hard. A simple journey is: Advert ↓ Customer clicks ↓ WhatsApp opens ↓ Customer sends message ↓ You respond ↓ You answer questions ↓ Customer buys or books That's the basic process. LESSON 4 — USE A PRE-FILLED MESSAGE Depending on the Meta/WhatsApp setup available to you, you may be able to start the conversation with a suggested or pre-filled message. For example: Hello, I'm interested in your website design service. Please send me more information. This makes it easier for the customer to start the conversation. Examples For a restaurant: Hello, I would like to see today's menu. For real estate: Hello, I'm interested in your available properties. For fashion: Hello, I would like to see your available dresses. For website design: Hello, I would like to know more about your website packages. LESSON 5 — DON'T JUST COLLECT MESSAGES Getting WhatsApp messages is not the same as getting sales . Imagine you run an advert and receive: 50 messages but only: 2 sales The problem may not be the advert. You need to look at what happens after the customer sends the message . LESSON 6 — RESPOND QUICKLY When someone contacts you through WhatsApp, try to respond as soon as reasonably possible. A customer may be talking to several businesses. If you take hours or days to respond, they may have already bought from someone else. Simple response Hello, thanks for reaching out to us. We'd be happy to help. What product or service are you interested in? Then continue the conversation. LESSON 7 — ASK THE RIGHT QUESTIONS Don't immediately send a long price list. First understand what the customer wants. For example, if you're selling website design: What type of business do you run? Do you currently have a website? What would you like the website to help you achieve? Then you can recommend the right package. LESSON 8 — WEBSITE ADS Now let's look at website advertising. Instead of sending people to WhatsApp, you can send them to your website. The journey becomes: Advert ↓ Website ↓ Product/Service Page ↓ Action The action could be: Buy Book Submit a form Contact you Make a payment Request a quote LESSON 9 — YOUR WEBSITE MUST BE READY Don't send advertising traffic to a poor website. Before running ads, check: Is the website mobile-friendly? Most people will probably see your advert on their phone. Is the offer clear? People should immediately understand what you're selling. Is the price clear? If appropriate, make the price easy to find. Is there a clear button? Examples: Buy Now Order Now Book Now Get a Quote Does the website load properly? A slow or broken website can waste your advertising budget. LESSON 10 — SEND PEOPLE TO THE RIGHT PAGE Don't always send everyone to your homepage. If you're advertising a specific product, send them to that product. Example Advert: Premium Men's Sneakers — ₦35,000 ↓ Website: Premium Men's Sneakers Product Page Not: Homepage The customer should be able to continue exactly where the advert left off. LESSON 11 — YOUR AD AND WEBSITE MUST MATCH Imagine your advert says: Professional Website — ₦100,000 The customer clicks. Then the website says: Website packages starting from ₦300,000. The customer may become confused. Your: Advert ↓ Offer ↓ Landing Page should make sense together. LESSON 12 — WHAT IS A LANDING PAGE? A landing page is a page designed around one specific goal . For example: Advert Get Your Business Website for ₦100,000 ↓ Landing Page Professional Business Website — ₦100,000 What you get: Mobile-friendly design WhatsApp integration Professional layout Contact section [Get Started] The page focuses on one offer instead of distracting the visitor with too many things. LESSON 13 — LEAD FORMS Some campaigns can collect customer information through a form. For example: Name Phone Email What service are you interested in? The customer submits the form. You now have a potential lead that you can contact. Lead forms can be useful for businesses such as: Real estate Education Insurance Consulting Professional services LESSON 14 — WHATSAPP VS WEBSITE Which one should you use? There is no universal answer. Use WhatsApp when: Customers need to ask questions The product is customized You close sales through conversation You want quick enquiries Your business already uses WhatsApp effectively Use a Website when: Customers can buy directly You have an online store You want customers to see products You have a booking system You want customers to learn about your services You can also use both. For example: Advert → Website → WhatsApp The customer first sees the offer on your website and can then contact you through WhatsApp. LESSON 15 — TRACK WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE CLICK Don't only ask: "How many people clicked?" Ask: "What did they do after clicking?" For example: 1,000 people saw the advert ↓ 100 clicked ↓ 30 contacted you ↓ 10 became serious leads ↓ 3 purchased This gives you a much better understanding of your advertising. A large number of clicks doesn't automatically mean a successful campaign. LESSON 16 — A COMPLETE WHATSAPP EXAMPLE Let's say you're advertising Berlain Wolf Tech Website Design . AD Professional Website — ₦100,000 Get a professional website for your business with WhatsApp integration and a mobile-friendly design. CTA: Send Message ↓ WHATSAPP Customer sees: Hello, I'm interested in your website design service. Please send me more information. ↓ RESPONSE Hello! Thanks for reaching out. We'd be happy to help. What type of business do you run? ↓ CUSTOMER I own a fashion business. ↓ YOU Great. We can create a professional fashion website where customers can view your products and contact you through WhatsApp. Would you like me to send you our website packages? That's how an advert can turn into a conversation. LESSON 17 — A COMPLETE WEBSITE EXAMPLE Imagine you're selling a product. AD Premium Smart Watch — ₦45,000 Track your activity, receive notifications and stay connected throughout the day. CTA: Shop Now ↓ WEBSITE Premium Smart Watch ₦45,000 Product images Product information Features Delivery information [Buy Now] ↓ CUSTOMER Completes the purchase. That's a simple advertising funnel. MODULE 7 PRACTICAL TASK Choose one product or service. Decide where your advert should send people. WHAT ARE YOU ADVERTISING? YOUR GOAL Messages / Website Visits / Leads / Sales DESTINATION WhatsApp / Website / Lead Form WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THEY CLICK? WHAT ACTION DO YOU WANT? Message / Buy / Book / Submit Form / Call MODULE 7 CHECKPOINT Before moving on, understand these simple ideas: WhatsApp Good for conversations and enquiries. Website Good for showing products, services and taking actions such as purchases or bookings. Lead Form Good for collecting potential customer information. Landing Page A page focused on one specific offer or goal. Most Important Don't just get clicks. Think about what happens after the click. THE CUSTOMER JOURNEY Remember: ADVERT Get their attention. ↓ CLICK They show interest. ↓ DESTINATION WhatsApp / Website / Form ↓ ACTION Message / Lead / Purchase / Booking ↓ CUSTOMER You turn the interested person into a customer. NEXT MODULE MODULE 8 — UNDERSTANDING YOUR AD RESULTS Now that you know how to create and launch ads, you need to know how to read the numbers . You'll learn how to tell whether an advert is working, what your results mean, and where your money is going.

ADS COURSE MODULE 8 TO MODULE 10

MODULE 8 — UNDERSTANDING YOUR AD RESULTS What You Will Learn After you launch an advert, you will see many numbers inside Ads Manager. At first, these numbers may look confusing. You might see: Reach Impressions Clicks CTR Cost per result Messages Leads Purchases Amount spent Don't worry. In this module, we'll explain the most important numbers in simple terms . The goal is to answer one question: "Is my advert actually working?" LESSON 1 — WHY YOU NEED TO CHECK YOUR RESULTS Running an advert and never checking the results is like giving someone money and never asking what happened to it. You need to know: How many people saw your advert How many people interacted with it How many people clicked How many people contacted you How many people bought How much you spent This information helps you decide what to do next. LESSON 2 — AMOUNT SPENT Amount Spent is simply how much money your campaign has used. Example You set a budget of: ₦5,000 per day After some time, Ads Manager may show: Amount Spent: ₦4,200 That means Meta has spent ₦4,200 so far. Always compare your spending with the results you're getting. LESSON 3 — REACH Reach is the number of different people who saw your advert. Example If your Reach is: 5,000 it means approximately 5,000 different people saw your advert. Reach answers: "How many people did I reach?" LESSON 4 — IMPRESSIONS Impressions is the number of times your advert was displayed. This can include the same person seeing the advert more than once. Example Your advert reaches: 5,000 people But it has: 7,000 impressions That means some people saw your advert more than once. LESSON 5 — REACH VS IMPRESSIONS This is easy to remember. REACH How many different people saw it? IMPRESSIONS How many total times was it shown? LESSON 6 — CLICKS Clicks tell you how many times people interacted with the clickable parts of your advert. Depending on the metric you're looking at, Meta can report different types of clicks. For beginners, focus on the clicks that are relevant to your campaign goal. For example, if your goal is to send people to your website, website link clicks are more useful than simply looking at every type of click. LESSON 7 — CTR CTR means: Click-Through Rate It tells you the percentage of people who clicked after seeing your advert. You don't need to memorize the calculation. Ads Manager calculates it for you. Simple example If 1,000 people see an advert and 20 click the relevant link: Your click-through rate is: 2% A higher CTR can be a sign that your advert is attracting attention, but CTR by itself does not mean the campaign is profitable. LESSON 8 — COST PER RESULT This is one of the most useful numbers. It tells you approximately how much you spent to get the result your campaign is optimized for. Example You spend: ₦10,000 and receive: 20 WhatsApp conversations Your average cost per result is: ₦500 per conversation Another campaign might spend: ₦10,000 and receive: 5 conversations That's: ₦2,000 per conversation The first campaign produced the result at a lower cost. LESSON 9 — MESSAGES If your campaign is designed to generate messages, pay attention to: How many conversations did you receive? For example: Amount Spent: ₦10,000 Messages: 25 Cost per message: ₦400 But don't stop there. You also need to know: How many of those conversations became customers? LESSON 10 — LEADS A lead is a person who has shown interest in your business and provided information or taken an action that allows you to follow up. For example: Someone fills out your form with: Name: John Phone: 08000000000 Service: Website Design John is now a potential customer. If you spent: ₦10,000 and received: 20 leads your average cost per lead would be: ₦500 LESSON 11 — PURCHASES If your campaign is designed to generate sales, purchases are one of the most important results to watch. For example: Amount Spent: ₦20,000 Purchases: 5 That means you spent an average of: ₦4,000 per purchase But you also need to compare that with how much profit each sale produces. LESSON 12 — DON'T LOOK AT ONE NUMBER This is very important. Don't say: "My advert has a lot of clicks, so it must be good." Maybe people are clicking but nobody is buying. Or: "My advert has a low cost per click, so it's successful." Maybe the clicks aren't producing customers. Always look at the entire customer journey. Example Ad Spend ₦20,000 ↓ Clicks 100 ↓ Website Visitors 90 ↓ Leads 20 ↓ Customers 5 Now you can see what actually happened. LESSON 13 — CHECK YOUR BUSINESS RESULTS Advertising results are not the only results that matter. Imagine: ₦20,000 spent 50 WhatsApp messages 5 customers If each customer gives you: ₦30,000 profit Then the campaign may be very valuable. But if you get: 50 messages and: 0 customers you need to investigate what is happening. Maybe: The price is too high The offer isn't attractive You're responding slowly The wrong people are contacting you Your sales process needs improvement LESSON 14 — WHAT DOES A GOOD AD LOOK LIKE? There is no single number that automatically means an advert is good. A result that is excellent for one business may be poor for another. For example: A company selling a ₦2,000 product may need very cheap customer acquisition. A company selling a ₦2,000,000 property may be comfortable paying much more for a qualified lead. So don't ask: "Is ₦1,000 per lead good?" Ask: "Can I make enough profit from these leads to justify ₦1,000 per lead?" LESSON 15 — WATCH FOR WARNING SIGNS Here are some common situations. Lots of impressions but very few clicks Your advert may not be attracting enough attention. Consider testing: A different image A different video A stronger headline A better offer Lots of clicks but few enquiries The problem may be after the click. Check: Your website Your landing page Your offer Your WhatsApp process Lots of messages but few sales Your advertising may be generating interest, but your sales process may need improvement. Check: How quickly you respond How you communicate Your pricing Your offer Whether you're attracting the right customers Very expensive results You may need to test: Different creative Different audience Different offer Different campaign setup Don't immediately increase the budget. First understand the problem. LESSON 16 — DON'T PANIC WHEN RESULTS CHANGE Advertising results can change. One day may be better than another. Don't make major decisions based on a tiny amount of data. Instead: Launch ↓ Allow data to accumulate ↓ Analyze ↓ Make a decision The amount of data you need depends on your campaign, budget, objective and business. LESSON 17 — KEEP RECORDS It's a good habit to record your advertising results. You can track: Date Amount Spent Reach Clicks Messages Leads Sales Revenue This helps you understand what is happening over time. MODULE 8 PRACTICAL TASK Open your Ads Manager if you have already launched a campaign. Find the following: Amount Spent Reach Impressions Clicks CTR, where relevant Cost per Result Messages, if applicable Leads, if applicable Purchases, if applicable Write down your numbers. Amount Spent Reach Impressions Clicks Cost Per Result Messages/Leads/Sales MODULE 8 CHECKPOINT Remember: Reach How many different people saw your advert? Impressions How many times was the advert displayed? Clicks How many times did people click or interact? CTR How often did people click relative to impressions, for the selected click metric? Cost Per Result How much did you spend on average for the result your campaign is measuring? Most Important Don't measure success by clicks alone. Measure whether the advert is helping you achieve your actual business goal. SIMPLE FORMULA Think about your advertising like this: MONEY SPENT ↓ PEOPLE REACHED ↓ PEOPLE INTERESTED ↓ LEADS / MESSAGES ↓ CUSTOMERS ↓ REVENUE Your job is to understand what happens at each stage. NEXT MODULE MODULE 9 — TESTING, IMPROVING & SCALING ADS In the next module, you'll learn what to do when an advert is working, not working, or somewhere in between — and how to improve your campaigns without blindly spending more money. MODULE 9 — TESTING, IMPROVING & SCALING ADS What You Will Learn Your first advert may work well. It may perform poorly. Or it may give you results that are somewhere in between. That's normal. Good advertising is not about creating one advert and hoping it works forever. It's about: TEST → CHECK RESULTS → IMPROVE → TEST AGAIN In this module, you'll learn how to do that. LESSON 1 — WHY DO WE TEST ADS? You cannot always know which advert will perform best before you run it. For example, you might create two adverts for the same product. AD A Uses a product image. AD B Uses a short video. You may discover that the video gets better results. You learned something from the test. Testing helps you discover: Which images work Which videos work Which messages work Which audiences respond Which offers work LESSON 2 — DON'T CHANGE EVERYTHING AT ONCE Imagine your advert isn't performing well. You decide to change: The audience The image The video The text The offer The budget all at once. Now you don't know what caused the improvement or decline. Instead, when practical, test one important change at a time. Example Keep the: Audience Budget Offer the same. Change only: Image Now you can compare the results more clearly. LESSON 3 — TEST YOUR CREATIVE Your creative is the image or video people see. You can test: IMAGE A Product photo IMAGE B Customer using the product VIDEO A Short product demonstration You can then compare the results. LESSON 4 — TEST YOUR AD COPY You can also test different messages. AD COPY A Get professional cleaning services for your home today. AD COPY B Too busy to clean? Let our professional team handle it for you. Both are promoting the same service. But one may connect better with your audience. LESSON 5 — TEST YOUR HEADLINE Your headline can also be tested. HEADLINE A Professional Cleaning Services HEADLINE B Book Your Home Cleaning Today HEADLINE C Reliable Cleaning For Your Home The best headline is the one that helps your advert achieve its goal. LESSON 6 — TEST YOUR AUDIENCE Sometimes the problem isn't the advert. It may be the audience. For example: AUDIENCE A Broad audience in Port Harcourt AUDIENCE B A relevant interest-based audience in Port Harcourt You can compare the results. Remember: Don't assume the audience is better simply because it looks more specific. Let the results guide your decision. LESSON 7 — TEST YOUR OFFER Sometimes the problem is not Facebook. The problem may be the offer. Imagine you're selling: Website Design — ₦250,000 You could test a different package: Website Design — ₦150,000 Or instead of changing the price, you might add more value: Website + WhatsApp + Domain Setup The important thing is to make sure the offer is attractive and profitable. Never reduce your price blindly just because an advert isn't working. LESSON 8 — WHEN SHOULD YOU STOP AN AD? You don't need to keep spending money on an advert that clearly isn't producing useful results. Look at the data. If an advert is consistently producing poor results compared with your other tests, consider pausing it. Example You run two ads. Ad A ₦10,000 spent 20 leads Ad B ₦10,000 spent 3 leads Ad B may need to be investigated or paused. But don't make decisions from tiny amounts of data without considering the campaign's objective and context. LESSON 9 — WHEN SHOULD YOU KEEP AN AD RUNNING? If an advert is producing good results at a cost that makes sense for your business, you may want to keep it running. For example: You spend: ₦10,000 and generate: ₦50,000 in profit That could be a strong result. The exact numbers that make sense will depend on your business. LESSON 10 — DON'T CHANGE A WINNING AD TOO QUICKLY Imagine you find an advert that is producing good results. Don't immediately start changing everything. Let it continue to run while you monitor it. If you need more volume, consider testing additional versions rather than destroying the version that is already working. LESSON 11 — WHAT IS SCALING? Scaling means increasing your advertising activity after you've found something that works. For example: You start with: ₦5,000/day and the campaign produces profitable results. You may decide to gradually increase the budget. The goal is to get more results while maintaining acceptable performance. LESSON 12 — DON'T SCALE TOO FAST A common beginner mistake is: "This advert made sales today! I'm going to increase the budget massively." That can be risky. A campaign that performs well at a small budget may not perform exactly the same way at a much larger budget. Increase carefully and monitor the results. LESSON 13 — SCALE WHAT WORKS Don't scale an advert simply because you like it. Scale based on evidence. Look at: Cost per result Leads Messages Purchases Revenue Profit If the campaign is producing results that make business sense, you have something worth testing further. LESSON 14 — DUPLICATE OR CREATE NEW TESTS If you have a successful advert, you can test new variations. For example: Winning Ad ↓ Test a new image ↓ Test a new video ↓ Test a new headline ↓ Test a new audience This allows you to keep learning while maintaining what already works. LESSON 15 — DON'T CHASE CHEAP RESULTS This is important. Suppose: Campaign A Cost per lead: ₦500 But the leads rarely buy. Campaign B Cost per lead: ₦1,500 But the leads regularly become customers. Campaign B may actually be better for the business. Don't focus only on getting the cheapest click or cheapest lead. Focus on valuable customers. LESSON 16 — LOOK AT THE ENTIRE FUNNEL Remember what we learned in Module 8. A campaign might look like this: ₦20,000 spent ↓ 10,000 people reached ↓ 500 clicks ↓ 100 messages ↓ 20 serious leads ↓ 5 customers The goal is not simply to get more clicks. The goal is to move people through the process until you get valuable business results. LESSON 17 — A SIMPLE IMPROVEMENT PROCESS If your advert isn't performing well, don't panic. Follow this process: STEP 1 Check the results. STEP 2 Find the weakest part. STEP 3 Identify one thing to test. STEP 4 Make the change. STEP 5 Run the test. STEP 6 Compare the results. STEP 7 Keep what works. STEP 8 Remove or improve what doesn't. That's how you become better at advertising. LESSON 18 — EXAMPLE Imagine you're advertising: Men's Sneakers — ₦35,000 You launch your first advert. After testing, you notice: AD A Image 10 sales AD B Video 3 sales The video may not be working as well as the image. Instead of guessing, you can: Keep Ad A and test another image or another version of the video. You're learning from actual results. MODULE 9 PRACTICAL TASK Look at one of your campaigns. Answer these questions: WHAT IS YOUR BEST AD? WHY DO YOU THINK IT IS WORKING? WHAT IS YOUR WORST AD? WHY DO YOU THINK IT IS NOT WORKING? WHAT CAN YOU TEST? Image / Video / Copy / Headline / Audience / Offer WHAT WILL YOU KEEP THE SAME? MODULE 9 CHECKPOINT Remember these five things: 1. TEST You don't know what will work until you test. 2. MEASURE Use your results to make decisions. 3. IMPROVE Change weak parts of your campaign. 4. KEEP WINNERS Don't destroy something that is already working. 5. SCALE CAREFULLY Increase spending gradually and monitor the results. THE SIMPLE FORMULA TEST Try something. ↓ MEASURE Look at the results. ↓ LEARN Understand what happened. ↓ IMPROVE Make a better version. ↓ SCALE Put more money behind what consistently works. NEXT MODULE MODULE 10 — MAKING MONEY WITH FACEBOOK & INSTAGRAM ADS This is the final module. You'll learn how to take everything you've learned and turn it into a real service or business , including how to find clients, create advertising packages, set your prices and get your first client. MODULE 10 — MAKING MONEY WITH FACEBOOK & INSTAGRAM ADS What You Will Learn You've now learned how to: Create an advert Choose an audience Set a budget Launch a campaign Send people to WhatsApp or a website Read your results Test and improve your campaigns Now we're going to turn that knowledge into a money-making skill . You can use Facebook and Instagram advertising in two main ways: OPTION 1 Use ads to grow your own business . OPTION 2 Use your skills to run ads for other businesses and charge them . LESSON 1 — ADVERTISE YOUR OWN BUSINESS The easiest place to start is with your own business. You can use what you've learned to promote: Products Services Courses Websites Events Your personal brand For example, if you build websites, you could run an advert saying: Does Your Business Need a Professional Website? Then send interested people to WhatsApp. You are now using the skill you've learned to generate your own customers. LESSON 2 — FIND BUSINESSES THAT NEED ADS Many businesses have social media accounts but don't know how to advertise properly. Look for businesses such as: Fashion brands Restaurants Real estate companies Car dealers Beauty businesses Schools Logistics companies Event businesses Online stores Service businesses Look at their Facebook and Instagram pages. Ask yourself: Could this business benefit from paid advertising? If yes, they could be a potential client. LESSON 3 — BUILD A SIMPLE PORTFOLIO Before approaching clients, create examples of your work. You don't need 20 clients. You can start with 2–3 examples . For example: Example 1 A fashion advertising campaign. Example 2 A restaurant advertising campaign. Example 3 A website design advertising campaign. If you haven't worked with real clients yet, you can create sample campaigns for practice. Be honest and clearly identify them as sample work. LESSON 4 — SHOW WHAT YOU CAN DO Don't just tell people: "I know Facebook ads." Show them. Create examples showing: The advert ↓ The audience ↓ The campaign ↓ The results If you have real results, show them with the client's permission. This makes your service much easier to sell. LESSON 5 — HOW TO APPROACH A BUSINESS Don't immediately send a long sales message. Start a conversation. Example Hello, I came across your business on Instagram and I really like what you're doing. I noticed you're already active online, and I believe you could reach more potential customers with targeted Facebook and Instagram advertising. I help businesses create and manage advertising campaigns. I'd be happy to show you some examples of my work. Keep it short. Be professional. LESSON 6 — ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE GIVING A PRICE If the business is interested, find out what they need. Ask: What do you want to advertise? Product or service? What is your goal? Messages? Leads? Sales? Website visitors? Who are your customers? Where are your customers? Do you already have an advert? Do you have a website or WhatsApp? What is your advertising budget? These questions help you understand the project. LESSON 7 — UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOUR FEE AND THE AD BUDGET This is extremely important. There are two different costs . YOUR MANAGEMENT FEE This is what the client pays you for your work. For example: ₦75,000 ADVERTISING BUDGET This is the money spent on Meta ads. For example: ₦100,000 The client could therefore pay: ₦75,000 — Your service ₦100,000 — Advertising budget Your fee and the ad budget should be clearly explained. Don't accidentally spend your own money on a client's advertising. LESSON 8 — CREATE SIMPLE PACKAGES You can create different packages. STARTER ADS PACKAGE For small businesses. Could include: Campaign setup Audience setup Ad creation Basic monitoring Basic reporting STANDARD ADS PACKAGE Could include: Campaign setup Multiple ads Audience testing Campaign management Weekly reporting Optimization PREMIUM ADS MANAGEMENT Could include: Multiple campaigns Creative testing Audience testing Ongoing optimization Detailed reporting Strategy Consultation Your packages should reflect the amount of work you actually provide. LESSON 9 — HOW MUCH SHOULD YOU CHARGE? There is no single correct price. Your price depends on: Your experience The amount of work Number of campaigns Number of ads Reporting Creative production How often you manage the campaign The client's business Your level of responsibility As a beginner, you can start with a simple service and increase your price as your experience and results improve. Don't compete only by being the cheapest. LESSON 10 — GET PAYMENT BEFORE STARTING Before starting a client's project, agree on: What you're doing How much you're charging How long the service will last What the client needs to provide How the advertising budget will be handled How reporting will work Then collect the agreed payment or deposit. Don't start working for a client based only on: "I'll pay you later." LESSON 11 — CLIENT ADVERTISING BUDGET The client should have a separate advertising budget. For example: Your management fee: ₦75,000 Ad budget: ₦100,000 The ₦100,000 is not your income. It is money intended for advertising. Make this very clear to the client. LESSON 12 — MANAGE CLIENT EXPECTATIONS Never promise: "I'll guarantee you 100 sales." Advertising doesn't work that way. You can promise to: Set up the campaign properly Test different approaches Monitor the results Make improvements Provide reports But the final results depend on many things, including: Product Price Offer Market Competition Creative Audience Sales process Website Customer service Be honest with your clients. LESSON 13 — GIVE CLIENTS REPORTS Clients want to know what happened with their money. Give them a simple report. For example: MONTHLY AD REPORT Ad Spend: ₦100,000 People Reached: 25,000 Clicks: 1,200 Messages: 150 Leads: 50 Sales: 12 Then explain what happened. For example: The campaign generated 150 WhatsApp conversations. The strongest advert was the product video, so we recommend testing more videos next month. Keep your reports simple. LESSON 14 — ASK FOR TESTIMONIALS When you successfully complete a project, ask the client for a testimonial. For example: "Thank you for working with us. If you're happy with our service, we'd appreciate a short review about your experience." A good testimonial can help you attract your next client. LESSON 15 — GET REFERRALS One client can lead to another. After completing a project, ask: "Do you know another business owner who might benefit from Facebook and Instagram advertising?" A referral can be one of the easiest ways to find your next client. LESSON 16 — TURN THE SKILL INTO A BUSINESS You now have several possible services you can offer. ADS SETUP You create the campaign and launch it. ADS MANAGEMENT You manage the campaign over a period of time. CREATIVE CREATION You create images, videos and ad copy. MARKETING CONSULTATION You help businesses develop their advertising strategy. FULL MARKETING SERVICE You can combine: Website + Ads + Social Media + Content This can become a larger service offering for your business. LESSON 17 — YOUR FIRST CLIENT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE BIG Don't wait for a major company. Your first client could be: A friend's business A family member's business A local restaurant A small fashion brand A salon A real estate agent A small online store Your first goal is experience . Once you have experience and results, you can start targeting larger businesses. LESSON 18 — BUILD YOUR REPUTATION Your reputation will become one of your biggest assets. Do good work. Communicate properly. Don't disappear after receiving payment. Keep clients updated. Be honest about results. Deliver what you promised. Over time, satisfied clients can become your biggest source of referrals. MODULE 10 PRACTICAL TASK Now create your own Facebook & Instagram advertising service. YOUR SERVICE NAME WHAT DO YOU OFFER? WHO DO YOU HELP? YOUR STARTER PACKAGE Includes: YOUR PRICE ₦____________________________ CLIENT'S ADVERTISING BUDGET ₦____________________________ HOW WILL YOU FIND CLIENTS? WhatsApp / Instagram / Facebook / Referrals / Direct Outreach / Other FINAL COURSE PROJECT Now put everything you've learned together. Choose a real or fictional business. CREATE YOUR FIRST FACEBOOK & INSTAGRAM AD

FINAL PRACTICAL SECTION CREATE YOUR FIRST FACEBOOK & INSTAGRAM AD Now it's time to put everything you've learned into practice. In this section, we are going to create an advert using a Facebook Page post and promote it to your target audience. Follow the steps one at a time. STEP 1 — LOG INTO FACEBOOK Open Facebook and log into your account. Make sure you are using the account that has access to your business Facebook Page. Once you're logged in, go to your Facebook Page . STEP 2 — CREATE YOUR FACEBOOK PAGE If you don't already have a business Page: Go to Facebook. Select the option to create a Page . Enter your business name. Choose the category that best describes your business. Add a short description. Add your logo or profile picture. Add your business information. Save the Page. Your Facebook Page is where your business will appear publicly. STEP 3 — CONNECT WHATSAPP TO YOUR PAGE If you want customers to contact you through WhatsApp, connect your WhatsApp account to your Facebook Page. Go to your Page settings . Look for the area where your Page information or profile details are managed. Depending on the version of Facebook you are using, the layout may look different. Look for the WhatsApp option. If you see a pencil/edit icon beside the relevant profile/contact section, select it. Enter your WhatsApp number and follow Facebook's instructions to connect it. You may be asked to verify the number. Important Make sure you connect the correct WhatsApp number . This is the number customers will use to contact your business. STEP 4 — CREATE YOUR ADVERTISING POST Before boosting anything, you need to create a post. Go back to your Facebook Page and create a new post. Your post can contain: An image A video Text An offer A call-to-action Example If you're advertising website design: Does your business need a professional website? Get a modern, mobile-friendly website designed for your business. Starting from ₦100,000. Send us a WhatsApp message to get started. Add a good image or video showing the service. Then publish the post. STEP 5 — GO BACK TO YOUR PAGE After publishing your post, go back to your Facebook Page. Find the post you just created. Look for the: BOOST POST button. Depending on the current Facebook interface, you may see a similar option such as Boost or Promote . Select it. STEP 6 — CHOOSE WHAT YOU WANT FROM THE AD Facebook will ask what you want people to do after seeing your advert. Choose the option that matches your goal. For example: Want people to contact you? Choose the option for Messages . Want people to provide their information? Choose Leads . Want people to visit your website? Choose the option that sends people to your website. Always choose the option that matches your actual goal. STEP 7 — CHOOSE WHERE MESSAGES OR LEADS SHOULD GO If your goal is to receive messages or leads, Facebook may allow you to choose where those people can contact you. Depending on the options available to your account, you may be able to select: WhatsApp Facebook Messenger Instagram Multiple messaging destinations Example If you want customers to contact you through WhatsApp: Select WhatsApp. If you want customers to contact you through several platforms: Select the available messaging destinations that make sense for your business. Don't select an option simply because it gives you more destinations. Choose the places where you can actually respond to customers. STEP 8 — CHOOSE YOUR LOCATION Now choose where you want your advert to appear. For example: Port Harcourt or Lagos or Abuja or Nigeria Choose the location based on where your business can actually serve customers. Example If your restaurant only delivers within Port Harcourt, don't spend your advertising budget showing the advert to people who live hundreds of kilometres away. STEP 9 — CHOOSE YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE Now choose the type of people you want to reach. Depending on the options Meta currently provides, you may be able to select things such as: Age Example: 21–45 Gender Men / Women / Everyone Interests Choose interests that are relevant to your product or service. Example If you're advertising fashion products, relevant interests might include: Fashion Clothing Shopping Don't select random interests. Think about: Who is most likely to buy this product or service? STEP 10 — CHECK YOUR AUDIENCE Before continuing, look at the audience you've created. Ask yourself: Is my location correct? Is my age range reasonable? Is my gender selection appropriate? Are my interests relevant? Can my business actually serve these people? If everything makes sense, continue. STEP 11 — SET YOUR BUDGET Now decide how much money you want to spend. Start with a budget you can comfortably afford to test. For example: ₦3,000 per day or ₦5,000 per day Your budget depends on your business and advertising goal. Important Don't spend money you cannot afford to lose. The purpose of your first campaign is to test, learn and improve . STEP 12 — CHOOSE YOUR SCHEDULE Now choose when you want your advert to run. Depending on the current Meta interface, you may be able to choose: Start date and End date or the length of your promotion. Review the schedule carefully so you understand how long Meta will run the promotion and what you are committing to spend. STEP 13 — REVIEW YOUR AD Before scheduling the advert, check everything one more time. POST Is the correct post selected? GOAL Is the correct advertising goal selected? DESTINATION Will customers go to WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, your website or another selected destination? LOCATION Is the correct location selected? AUDIENCE Are you targeting the right people? BUDGET Is the budget correct? SCHEDULE Are the dates correct? PAYMENT Is your payment method correct? STEP 14 — SCHEDULE YOUR AD Once everything looks correct, select: SCHEDULE AD or the equivalent confirmation button shown in your Meta interface. Your advert will then go through Meta's review process. Once approved, it can begin running according to the schedule and settings you've selected. STEP 15 — WATCH YOUR RESULTS Once your advert starts running, don't just leave it and forget about it. Go back and check your results. Look at: Amount spent People reached Messages Leads Clicks Cost per result Most importantly: Are people actually becoming customers? Remember what you learned in Module 8. A lot of clicks don't automatically mean a successful advert.
