What equipment do I need to use your fiber internet service?
Utopia will provide a fiber box in your home. We suggest you add a quality router or Mesh system to share it with all of your devices. We can help you make an educated choice for the size and configuration of your home.
Are there any installation fees for your internet service?
There are no installation fees for our service. Utopia charges a 30 monthly fee for the use of their fiber network. This helps pay for the installation and maintenance going forward.
What customer support options do you offer?
We offer live support during extended business hours and email support until 10pm.
My internet seems slow. How can i improve it.
Reboot your router. Often this will improve your speed and range.
Locate your router on the same level of the house where it is primarily going to be used.
Install a mesh router system with one node on each floor.
Do not place your router behind any metal objects such as, heat ducts, appliances. Metal Studs, or TVs. Also locate it as high up as possible.
Test your speed by directly connecting to the Utopia box with a Cat 5/6 cable. go to speedtest.net and check the results.
