Located right in the heart of 100 Mile House, BC (yes, the town that makes you sound hardcore just by saying you’re from it), the Cariboo Gold Rush Express is a proudly non-profit crew of endurance-riding fanatics. We specialize in going really far… on purpose.

We’re powered by an unstoppable love for horses, the great outdoors, and the slightly questionable decision to sign up for rides that make both horse and rider wake up the next day wondering what life choices led them here. But that’s the magic of endurance riding — it challenges you, humbles you, and somehow makes you come back for more.

We’re big on building a supportive, welcoming community where riders and horses of all backgrounds and skill levels can join in — from seasoned pros to “I packed six extra snacks just in case” rookies. If you’ve got grit (or at least a good sense of humor), you’ll fit right in.

Our home base in 100 Mile House gives us access to some of British Columbia’s most breathtaking riding terrain — the kind of scenery that almost distracts you from the fact that you’ve been in the saddle for hours. Almost. Every ride is an adventure, whether you planned it that way or not.

Join The Cariboo Gold Rush Express for endurance riding like you’ve never experienced before, friendships that last longer than your sore muscles, and a passionate equestrian community that’s equal parts determined and delightfully unhinged.

Joanne Macaluso, Nicola Maughn, Elisa Marocchi, and Katrin Levermann

We are four friends who thought that working together, riding together and traveling together was a great idea. Somehow it worked. With an amazing South Cariboo support crew behind us, we have been making these rides in the Cariboo happen since 2008.
