AUTUMN SEASON
Starts Friday 4th Sept. ‘26
During the autumn we shall be rehearsing music for the Holiday Season. The programme will include popular music, old and new, as well as Christmas favourites. Since the band includes players of various skill levels it has been be chosen to suit everyone’s ability.
RECRUITING
Besides preparing new music, the autumn period is the prime time for recruitment.
Having over the last two years improved our playing standard and grown in size we now feel ready to take on NEW MEMBERS.
We need enthusiastic players of most wind band instruments who should be of A.B. Grade 3 to 5 standards or above. No qualification are required bur the relevant experience is desirable. There are NO AUDITIONS but a TRIAL PERIOD is in place which we feel is desirable to both parties.
We particularly welcome RETURNERS and SECOND INSTRUMENT learners. It doesn’t matter how long it is since you last played or far you have progressed on your new instrument; help is readily available.

The band rehearses at The Beechwood Club, Beechwood Road, Fishponds, Bristol BS16 3TP, UK.
We meet every Friday from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm, all year round.

WHO WE ARE
We are a fast-growing adult wind band based in Fishponds, Bristol, UK. Our friendly organising team welcomes players of all abilities—from near beginners to seasoned musicians—with extra support available for those learning or returning to playing.
WHAT WE PLAY
The conductor selects the music we perform primarily to support our growth and development as musicians, giving us opportunities to build our skills and confidence. At the same time, ensuring the pieces are enjoyable for the audience, thus making our performances both engaging and entertaining.
WHERE WE PLAY
The band regularly (but not too often!) plays for the general public at local events as well as at care homes, dining clubs etc.
Besides fulfilling our commitment to the community these appearances give the members valuable performance experience.
