Bio
I learned to appreciate music, science fiction, and technology from a very young age, back in the days of Sony Walkmans, VHS tapes, stereo cassettes, and the golden era of home computers. My passion for computing began in the early 1980s with machines such as the Atari 800XL, Atari 130XE, Commodore 64, Commodore Amiga, and Atari ST: computers that opened the door to creativity, gaming, programming, and new friendships through BBS systems such as Skillo-BBS in Modena and the Circolo Informatico Otto Kappa.
As technology evolved through CDs, DVDs, and Blu-rays, I developed a strong interest in Home Theater and audio-video system design. Later, I moved to my first IBM-compatible PC, a Pentium 120 MHz from Vobis GmbH running MS-DOS and Windows 3.11, and followed the rise of modern CPUs, overclocking, 3D graphics with 3dfx Voodoo2, dual-processor workstations, NVIDIA Quadro graphics, Silicon Graphics systems, Apple Macintosh, OS X, iMacs, smartphones, and today’s AI-driven computers equipped with NPUs.
I have been playing computer games for many years, especially racing simulations, Flight Simulator, and 3D shooters. I have taken part in official clans in the United States and organized LAN parties with dedicated servers and dozens of players, both in Italy and abroad.
I still love great cinema, especially Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, Pulp Fiction, Full Metal Jacket, Back to the Future, and the masterpieces of Kubrick and Spielberg. I also enjoy gardening and have a deep passion for animals.
