Currently Dr Chandrika Subramaniyan is a legal practitioner for more than two decades. In addition , she is a board director with Sydwest MultiCultural Services , Participate Australia, Riverlink, and WESTERN SYDNEY LOCAL HEALTH DISTRICT Board.

Writing and Speeches

With her media experience over three decades, Chandrika has authored more nearly eighty books in Tamil and English on various topics not limited to religion, philosophy, media, law and leadership .

Her book on ‘Women and Media’ received the Tamilnadu Government’s Literary award in 1988 and recently the Government of Tamilnadu Government honoured her with the title ‘Overseas Tamil Scholar’ in 2018. Her book on ‘Cyber Laws and Cyber Crimes’ received K J M Abdul Kalam Science and Technology award for her outstanding a Tamil Law and technology book from SRM University.

Community Leadership and Engagement

 Community Leadership and Languages: She is the founder of the Support Organisation for Migrants and Asylum Seekers and Tamil Valarchi Manram. Through these initiatives, she successfully engages communities in language development programs and provides guidance in community leadership.

 Women, Youth, and Aboriginal Communities: Deeply committed to the advancement of women, she is a strong advocate against family and domestic violence. She organises cultural and community events to encourage youth participation and has taught and mentored young people through TAFE. In both her legal and teaching roles, she has undertaken formal study in Aboriginal culture and actively engages with Aboriginal communities.

New Arrivals and Refugees: She has been engaged in delivering services to newly arrived migrants and refugees since 1997, beginning at the Inner West Migrant Resource Centre and continuing through to her work with Western Sydney Area Health.

 Education and Research: She has been a TAFE teacher since 2015 and continues to teach at universities in Australia. She remains actively involved in research and writing on social issues, migration, and AI ethics. She also provides CDNI business training for migrants and refugees
