Frequently Asked Questions
Does electric equipment have enough power for thick Newfoundland grass?
Absolutely. We use commercial-grade 56V, 80V and 82V lithium-ion technology that actually produces more instant torque than traditional gas engines. This means our blades maintain high speeds even in thick, wet, or overgrown grass, resulting in a cleaner cut that promotes a healthier lawn.
How do you handle the rain and damp weather in St. John's?
Our equipment is professional-grade and weather-sealed, meaning it is designed to operate safely and effectively in the damp, foggy conditions common to our region. We monitor weather conditions to ensure we aren’t mowing during heavy downpours to protect your soil and turf quality.
Is it really that much quieter?
Yes. A traditional gas mower typically operates at 95–100 decibels (similar to a motorcycle). Our electric mowers operate at roughly 75–80 decibels.
Why a 20 dB Difference Is Huge
Decibels are logarithmic, meaning:
+10 dB = about 2× louder to human hearing
+20 dB ≈ about 4× louder
So a 95 dB gas mower vs a 75 dB electric mower is roughly 4 times louder to your ears!!!
Is electric really "greener" if it uses the local power grid?
Yes. Even when charging from the grid, electric mowers are significantly more efficient than small gas engines, which lack the catalytic converters found in cars. One hour of gas mowing can emit as much pollution as driving a car for 160 kilometers. By choosing us, you are directly reducing local air and noise pollution in your own neighborhood.
