Si forma al Teatro Stabile di Torino con Mario Missiroli. Aiuto di Dario Fo e coregista con Ugo Gregoretti, responsabile della produzione, e impegnato nella gestione.
Nei suoi spettacoli hanno recitato i Vittorio Gassman, Walter Chiari, Ottavia Piccolo, Cochi Ponzoni, Paola Pitagora, Micaela Esdra e molti altri, in teatri e festival in Italia e all’estero: La Biennale di Venezia, il Festival di Spoleto, il Festival di Todi, il Festival d’Automne, il Beaubourg-Centre Pompidou, Festival di Hammamet, gli Istituti Italiani di Cultura di Parigi , Istanbul e di Tokio.
Ha diretto il Teatro Petruzzelli di Bari, è stato assistente del Soprintendente al Teatro Comunale di Bologna e ha firmato le regie delle opere del repertorio italiano in Italia e all’estero, tra cui il Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. Ha diretto teatri e festival.
Ha recuperato una dozzina di teatri storici, realizzando i progetti di fattibilità e di gestione. Organizzazione e regia di eventi per il Comune di Bologna. per il Comune di Torino, per la Curia Arcivescovile di Bologna. Sotto l’egida del Cardinale Biffi, ha recuperato uno spazio degradato, con laboratori teatrali e attività indirizzate ai ragazzi, ai giovani e ai senza dimora.
A Milano ha creato “Il Teatro del Mondo” che ha prodotto nel 2008 lo spettacolo “Fratelli d’Italia?” per il Festival di Spoleto: “...spettacolo capostipite sul tema dell’immigrazione." ha scritto Silvia Guidi su "L'Osservatore Romano".
Autore TV per il Centro di Produzione del Friuli-Venezia Giulia e di Torino notte di stelle su Raiuno per le Olimpiadi Invernali, con Riccardo Cocciante, Daniel Ezralow, Lou Dalfin, Veronica Pivetti, Giorgia. Per Radiotre ha realizzato la regia di sceneggiati e racconti.
Nel CdA del Teatro Stabile dell’Emilia-Romagna (ERT) per la Regione, presidente dei Teatri Municipali/A.G.I.S., socio dell'International Theater Meeting, membro di Opera Europa.
Professionista ospite nelle Università di Bologna, Torino, Istanbul.
