The program is open to First Year Medical Students and individuals diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and their care partners who are seeking support and connection with others who understand their experiences.

Buddies are matched based on factors such as similar experiences, interests, and needs to ensure meaningful and supportive connections.

Care partners play an important role in the Buddy Program and are encouraged to participate alongside their loved one. They are included in the connection, conversations, and support provided through the buddy match, and often benefit from shared experiences, encouragement, and access to resources.
