GIVING SOMETHING BACK

Happy Bean Health (HBH) has been set up as a Company Ltd by Guarantee so no individuals or shareholders will pocket any profits.

It's set it up this way because I don't believe in private profit or capitalism (even though HBH is part of that system!). I believe in equitable and just societies, where everyone has enough for their welfare and happiness. To this end, HBH will pay a Living Wage to all our team, and excess profits beyond the needs of the shop will go to local community projects and charities.

My background is in non-profits (fundraising for community projects alongside advocacy on environment, human rights and poverty reduction during 18 years working in Ghana), and this is how I wish to continue with HBH.

Hopefully I'll get to see you very soon at HBH, knowing that our local community will benefit from any profits made beyond the shop's needs. It's you that gives Happy Bean Health meaning and purpose. Thank you ~~~~ Helen
