What is "IKAS"

The beginning

It all started in 2017, the hit video game Ark Survival evolved had just gotten its console release and some idiotic kids had gotten their grubby hands on it. If you know nothing about ark, its a video game based around surviving on a dinosaur filled island while you try to beat the bosses of the island to "ascend" to the next map, also called an "Ark". while survival is the main goal, as will most pvp games, the players are also a problem. while originally we didn't play together, around the beginning of 2018 ANZUS and sleazy met each other and decided to join the same "tribe" it is there that the two met Wilson. The tribe name and what happened there is ultimately irrelevant, but know that this is where the idea of creating our own tribe came to fruition. After deciding to go separate from the tribe we originally joined, we jumped servers for a little bit before we decided to play on the Primitive plus server pack. It was on the primitive plus server that the IKAS name was spawned. you see, while in school, an inside joke had come about where we had asked each other "Is Kansas A State?". totally unfunny and in hindsight a little immature sure but it stuck. we decided to name our tribe IKAS.

After IKAS came about we played together for a few months before a meeting that would shape our lives would arrive. a tribe called noob patrol had taken us under their wing and asked if we would fill their shoes of keeping the population of new players down by raiding and destroying their bases. we decided to rename to IKAS PATROL.

Fast forward, and we had moved to normal official server again, our purpose differed now, we didn't want to build up, we just wanted to Patrol and keep the chaos of the servers alive. the group had expanded from 2 kids to 8 long time friends. and as time passed we grew up and had to live our lives. but we never forgot about the squad. we met up in person and decided to raise money for St. Jude for cancer. #IKAS
