Kat Teasdale Documentary Welcomes Corvette Club of Ontario as Founding Sponsor

November 26, 2025 — The production team behind Kat Teasdale: A Trailblazer’s Legacy is proud to announce the Corvette Club of Ontario (CCO) as a founding sponsor of the independent documentary short honouring the late Kathryn “Kat” Teasdale, a groundbreaking Canadian racecar driver.

As Canada’s first and largest Corvette club, CCO underscores the vital role of automotive and motorsport communities in preserving history. By becoming a founding sponsor, CCO strengthens its historical legacy while inspiring others to honour Kat Teasdale’s pioneering story.

“Kat fell in love with the iconic Corvette early on, and the Corvette Club of Ontario gave her the encouragement and sense of belonging that fueled her path into racing,” said Mike Rice, the film’s primary producer.

“Kathryn’s journey was defined by grit, compassion, and community,” said James Krane, President of the Corvette Club of Ontario. “Her dedication to children’s charities, even while facing her own battle with Lyme Disease, reflects the spirit of giving that drives our club. We hope our sponsorship inspires others to step up and honour her story.”

From grassroots Corvette autoslalom events to breaking barriers in endurance racing and the IndyCar and NASCAR feeder series, Kat's career embodies resilience and transformation. The not-for-profit documentary short, premiering in June 2026, will feature archival footage, personal and fan-supplied photos, professional images, interviews, stylized reenactments, and narration to celebrate her impact on the track and the lives she has influenced.

Individual supporters of the film’s GoFundMe campaign have already made it possible to fund two professionally filmed interviews, demonstrating the power of community support.

The Corvette Club of Ontario’s sponsorship contributes to the essential funding for the final editing and post-production, a critical step in bringing Kat Teasdale’s remarkable story to life. The production team welcomes additional automotive and motorsport organizations, as well as individual supporters, to join this collective effort to honour a remarkable Canadian.
