The Knights of Columbus of Saint John the Baptist

Family and Social Events
We host family-friendly social events to strengthen bonds within our community and to serve the Catholic church. These gatherings are a great way to connect and celebrate together. Be on the look out for events sponsored by the Knights of Columbus!

Youth Programs
We offer programs to foster leadership, service, and spiritual growth. Each year we host a free throw competition inviting children from the immediate area. Winners advance to the State Championship in Las Vegas! This is a great program that provides kids an opportunity to be involved in a competitive event where they get to travel around the State. These events teach the next generation leadership skills and importance of preparation. Serving children is a core mission of our organization.

Monthly Meetings and Fellowship
Join us for our monthly meetings the second and third Monday of every month, 6:00pm Arizona time. Members gather to discuss upcoming events and areas of service to the community as well as Parish needs. Come and enjoy fellowship and fraternity. Building relationships and strengthening our role in the community is key to our mission.

Coats for Kids!
We organize and participate in various charitable events to support those in need within our community. In 2026, we provided over 200 coats for children in the Colorado River Valley. Partnering with Walmart and the Supreme Office "Coats for Kids" program, we were able to negotiate great pricing that made a real difference to many children in our area. On January 21st, the Colorado River Food Bank in Laughlin was the distribution center where families could bring their child in and get fitted up with a new winter coat, sweater or hoodie. A limited quantity of coats are still available. If your child could use some new winter wear, contact the Colorado River Food Bank to inquire.

Seminarian Support
Our Council provides financial support to the Las Vegas Archdiocese Seminarian program. In addition, through Focus.org, we sponsored a Catholic Missionary to further promote and bring the Catholic faith to young men and women attending college. We personally sponsored Samantha Galupo who dedicated four years of her life to evangelize on her college campus. The Knights will do all we can to raise funds to promote our Catholic community. Soon we will be selling raffle tickets to support our Seminarians. Please be generous and buy tickets when you see them offered. You can also purchase tickets online by clicking on the link below

Tootsie Roll Drive for those with Intellectual Disabilities
Every fall the Knights of Columbus raise money to distribute to various programs operating within Southern Nevada like Opportunity Village, Clark County Unified School District Special Education, Down Syndrome of Southern Nevada and the Special Olympics. We have just about wrapped up our 2026 program and we are on schedule to donate about $4,000 so far. This is less than we have generated in the past but we are still in the fight! Please, anytime you see us working to raise funds for this worthy cause stop and take a moment to help out. If you ever get the chance to visit one of these organizations, you will see for yourself just how vital these funds are to these individuals.

Cor Prayer Group
Cor is a men's prayer group at Saint John the Baptist in the Garces Center.
Cor meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 5:30pm Arizona time in the Garces Center. Sponsored by the Knight of Columbus but it is open to all men of the Parish. The Knights of Columbus realize the importance of providing opportunities for men to grow in their spiritual faith in a setting that provides fellowship and fraternity to all the men of the church. This is an excellent program focused on prayer. We will pray the Rosary or the Divine Mercy Chaplet and discuss each weeks readings. Meetings will always end with hospitality offered by the Knights and social time. Please take advantage of this opportunity to develop or increase your intention to prayer and fraternity. You do not have to be a Knight of Columbus, this is open to all men of the church! Come join us!
