Personal Assistance in Lourdes
A solo trip to Lourdes can be confusing, overwhelming, and sometimes even lonely. If you have a disability, all these feelings may be amplified.
We are on-the-ground, in Lourdes, to show you around, get you acquainted, provide many types of disability-related assistance, and even join you at the Sanctuary for that first exciting glimpse of the Grotto or accompany you during your first Candlelight Procession.
Think of it as having a friend in town, waiting to greet you---until, of course, you make new friends---without a group pilgrimage as your only way to experience Lourdes.
(NOTE: We cannot provide "medical services," as defined by the laws of the French Republic and the European Union, nor do we provide services if are available by Sanctuary volunteers during the time of your trip----however, we can connect you with both!
Full bodily immersion in Lourdes water, called "les piscines," must be supervised by a trained Sanctuary volunteer, though we can certainly accompany you.)
