Discover Liverpool Cathedrals, where history meets vibrant culture.

Liverpool Cathedral is a magnificent monument in the centre of Liverpool. It is the largest cathedral and religious building in Britain, and the eighth largest church in the world. It is the cathedral of the Anglican Diocese of Liverpool and the seat of the Bishop of Liverpool. The cathedral was built between 1904 and 1978, based on a design by Giles Gilbert Scott. Liverpool also has a Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King, which is the mother church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Liverpool.
