Archeologists Discovers Hezekiah's Tunnel which was stated in the Holy Bible
key points about Hezekiah's Tunnel:
Biblical and Historical Context: The construction is mentioned in several biblical passages, including 2 Kings 20:20 and 2 Chronicles 32:2-4, 30. The Assyrian siege itself occurred in 701 BCE.
Purpose: The primary objective was strategic defense. King Hezekiah ordered its construction to secure Jerusalem's water supply from the Gihon Spring during an impending siege by the Assyrian army under Sennacherib, while also depriving the enemy of easy access to water.
