J. A. Dalza

Ludovico Mosena
Began my musical path in 1992 thanks to the hurdy-gurdy, within a family environment deeply connected to early music, through the ensemble Il Convito Musicale of Treviso. From the outset, I developed an intensive performing activity, engaging in both theatrical and concert settings and taking part in numerous projects that led me to perform across various European countries, with repertoires ranging from the Middle Ages to the early Baroque period.
Alongside this, I pursued the study of historical wind instruments, initially focusing on Renaissance repertoire with recorders, shawms consorts, and dulcians. Rooted in direct experience with historical reenactment practices, my path gradually evolved towards a concert and academic dimension, culminating in a diploma in Baroque bassoon from the “Arrigo Pedrollo” Conservatory in Vicenza in 2011. Since then, I have been active with the Associazione Ritmi di Assisi, combining concert activity with ongoing pedagogical work as a hurdy-gurdy teacher.
In recent years, my work has increasingly focused on research, developing projects and exploring Renaissance and Baroque repertoires, with the aim of reactivating historical practices and sound worlds within a living, contemporary perspective.
