Juniperus monosperma, commonly known as one-seed juniper or cherrystone juniper, is a coniferous shrub or small tree native to the southwestern United States. It typically grows 2-7 meters tall, with a dense, rounded crown and gray-brown bark that exfoliates in thin strips. The leaves are scale-like, 1-2 mm long, arranged in alternating whorls. Its berry-like cones are 5-7 mm long, dark blue with a waxy bloom, and usually contain a single seed. This juniper is well-adapted to arid conditions, with an extensive root system reaching up to 61 meters deep.

我边走边拍边回忆,这一间间的门面已是白墙,曾经却是市井中的潮流圣地,这白墙里有:古玩店、多肉店、娃娃集中店、唱片店等等...虽已白墙四面了,但一张张以前的画面和老板沟通时的话语,却在脑海里不停的闪现.
    越是如此我越惦记着那位“Old School”大叔以及处境,毕竟像他这个年纪能分清“The Rolling Stones”和“Like a Rolling Stone”的区别和渊源的并不多! 
    还没有到门口就听到声响，传出滚石乐队的《Angie》:“安吉安吉，这乌云何时才能散去，命运要把我们带去哪里? 
    我灵魂里没有爱，口袋里没有钱，你不能说我们已经成功了，但是 “安吉”你不能说我们没有努力!” 
    大叔伴着这歌声带着丰富的感觉说道 :“暂时不能做生意了,但我们的情谊不会被拆散!微信加起来!” 彷佛台下的我们就是那歌里的Angie!大叔眼里热泪盈眶! 

This was sitting on the front boardwalk of an abandoned building in the super tiny town of Fort Klamath, Oregon. 

One night, in the middle of the night, more than a decade ago, I walked on the Stearns Wharf pier in Santa Barbara. It was quiet, lonely, and I was isolated with a digital camera without expensive equipment or pre-planning. The wooden bench seemed isolated so I pointed and clicked, just once. The bench captured my mood that night. Sometimes, what we shoot is simply what we are feeling at that moment. That’s the beauty of photography…it’s us, alone, seeing the voice of light, feeling things and capturing one, never-to be repeated moment in time. This was my night on the Wharf.
