Alessandra D'Andrea
is an artist and performer of exceptional sensitivity, with a passion for JazZ and airplanes...
Graduated with honors at the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome, in Flute and Chamber Music, and also Gregorian Chant, she devotes herself to various instruments and different music styles, from baroque music to pop-rock JazZ-fusion.
She has furthered her studies with international flutists such as Conrad Klemm, Raymond Guiot, Patrick Gallois and attended courses at the prestigious "Yehudi Menuhin Music Academy" in Switzerland, among others.
She has been a flutist in Symphonic and Rhythmic Orchestras for over 20 years, with conductors such as Riccardo Muti, Francesco De Masi, Pippo Caruso, etc..., as well as a session musician and soloist for artists such as Andrea ed Ennio Morricone, Luis Bacalov, Nicola Piovani, etc..., and in pop with Renato Zero, OXARTE, and recently with Tony Esposito "The Great Explorer", a fabulous project for Amnesty International.
She was awarded the gold medal by the Presidency of Republic with the "Foyer International des Artistes", for the original project "Liebhaber Konzert Trio"; solo flute in the "FlamenTangoProject" sextet, with whom she opened the Gypsy King's concert in Rome, and in the recent "Orchestra 014" by the italian GENIUS Piero Piccioni.
Alessandra D'Andrea plays Muramatzu and Yamaha flutes.

A virtuosistic sextet ideated by guitarist Lucio Pozone, with original compositions on TANGO & FLAMENCO written by guitarists Lucio Pozone and Massimo De Lorenzi, join with the well renown GYPSY KING'S, in a live opening at Colosseo Festival 2015, and also enriched with original coreography of international dancers.
