Absolutely. This is precisely the kind of challenging case Mark Plumlee specializes in. Many owners experience frustration when traditional approaches don't yield lasting results. Mark brings over five decades of highly specialized experience in equine hoof biomechanics and lameness, focusing on conditions that have resisted conventional therapies. His comprehensive lameness evaluations aim to uncover the underlying root cause, leading to effective solutions where others have been unsuccessful.

Mark's difference lies in his "whole horse" perspective combined with his unparalleled five decades of dedicated experience. While focusing intensely on hoof health and its intricate connection to the horse's entire musculoskeletal system, he looks beyond just the symptoms. He's known for taking on and successfully rehabilitating horses that others had given up on, providing a fresh, expert insight into complex and persistent lameness issues.

A lameness evaluation with Mark is a thorough process. It involves a detailed visual assessment of the horse's conformation, observing movement on various surfaces, and meticulous examination of the hooves. Mark uses his extensive experience to pinpoint abnormalities and develop a precise therapeutic shoeing plan or recommend further steps to address the specific issue. The goal is to provide clarity on the cause of the lameness and establish a clear path to recovery and long-term soundness.

This statement reflects Mark's proven track record with complex cases. Many horses come to him after years of battling lameness, having undergone numerous treatments with limited success. Mark's unique diagnostic eye and highly skilled farriery allow him to identify and address the nuanced hoof imbalances or pathologies that were previously overlooked, often resulting in remarkable improvements in horses where hope for soundness was lost.
