Frequently Asked Questions

I am a man who has gone through a lot in my life, even before my disability. I have acquired self-awareness about many things which have allowed me to grow as a person substantially. I live a consensual non-monogamist lifestyle and enjoy intimate moments with other people. I have some pretty fun stories though!

I have arachnoiditis, an inflammation in the arachnoid membrane of my spine. This causes neuropathy, extreme pain, and the inability to use some muscles in my legs.

I have always had degenerative disc disorder. This led to rupturing 2 discs in my lumbar spine when I was in my 20s that sent me to the ER. Once an OR was open, I received a microdiscectomy surgery to fix the ruptures. This worked well. 6 months later I was dragging a small table on the floor and ruptured 3 more discs in the process. After my second microdiscectomy the pain did not go away. Scar tissue has caused permanent damage which causes my spinal cords to clump together and get squeezed sometimes.

There are many things one can do in order to feel like they are living. Some of the things that allow me to take some of the power back that I once lost are painting, camping, swimming, and a big one for me is kink.
