Expertise in Religious Studies and Leadership
At Athens State University's Religious Studies Department, we study how faith and meaning shape societies, institutions, and individual lives — across traditions, cultures, and centuries. The Coleman Center of Religion, Leadership, and Culture is where that work becomes interdisciplinary. It brings together scholars, students, and community leaders around a shared question: what does faith-informed leadership actually look like in practice? Through public lectures, workshops, and ongoing research initiatives, the Center creates space for dialogue between religious studies and the fields it touches — leadership, ethics, cultural change — making it a natural hub for anyone thinking seriously about the intersection of belief and public life.
