Fix, Renew, Sustain Together

Join the Burlington Repair Cafe, where community and sustainability come together. Bring your broken household items and work with our skilled volunteers to repair and reuse—keeping waste out of landfill, one item at a time. Confirm your spot at our next event and be part of the change.

About Us
Celebrating our 7th anniversary in May 2026, Burlington Repair Cafe has grown from a small group of four volunteers fixing just three items into a thriving monthly event. Since 2019, our volunteer “fixers” have repaired over 1,500 items with a 65% success rate. Due to strong demand, we introduced a reservation system in 2024, and now regularly repair around 40 items during each four-hour session.

The Repair Cafe movement began in the Netherlands 17 years ago and has expanded to over 3,000 locations worldwide, including more than 30 across Canada—all dedicated to extending the life of everyday items and reducing waste.

With support from Halton Region and Rotary Club grants, we’re expanding in 2026 with new Repair Cafes in Oakville and Halton Hills.
