ROCK 'N' PEACE


ROCK’N’PEACE is my most personal project I have ever decided to share publicly – except for the lifelong project of working on myself. Both are deeply connected. This project is about rising after having been beaten down, about turning poison into medicine, about growing out of the mud, about death and resurrection.

On my journey I wrote thousands of notes, including sketches, and illustrations. One day I realized I could collect them into a book to share what helped me, hoping it might also help others. But as the pages and ideas grew, I didn’t want to wait until the book was finished. I began expressing my revelations in another way – through a combination of spiritual reflections, graphic sketches, lyrics and notes - both written and musically.

From adventure to advantage

The lyrics opened a new layer: music. I had no singer, so I decided to sing myself. Expressing my words musically became another way to express my story. It’s a new adventure for me – and, hopefully, an advantage for you.

Take what you have and do what you can

After integrating parts of myself, I now integrate music, lyrics, texts, images, and animation – one step after another. It feels like I’ve finally found the content for the forms I learned long ago as a designer and as a musician. ROCK’N’ PEACE stands for the integration of the inner World, PEACE, with the outer world, ROCK. It stands for the connection between the formless and the manifested, between stillness and sound – and the realization that together they are one. Together we are ONE.

Aus der Dunkelheit – hinein ins Licht.

ROCK'N'PEACE ist mein persönlichstes Projekt, das ich je öffentlich gezeigt habe – abgesehen von dem lebenslangen Projekt, an mir selbst zu arbeiten. Beides ist tief miteinander verbunden. Dieses Projekt handelt vom Aufstehen, nachdem man am Boden lag, davon, Gift in Medizin zu verwandeln, aus dem Schlamm heraus zu wachsen, von Tod und Wiedergeburt.

Auf meinem Weg habe ich tausende Notizen, Skizzen und Illustrationen angefertigt. Eines Tages wurde mir klar, dass ich sie zu einem Buch zusammenführen könnte – um das, was mir geholfen hat, auch für andere zugänglich zu machen. Doch während die Seiten und Ideen immer mehr wurden, wollte ich nicht warten, bis das Buch fertig strukturiert war. Also begann ich, meine Erkenntnisse auf andere Weise auszudrücken – durch eine Kombination aus spirituellen Reflexionen, grafischen Skizzen, Texten und Musik.

Vom Wagen zum Wachsen.

Die Texte eröffneten eine neue Ebene: die Musik. Da ich keine Sängerin oder keinen Sänger hatte, beschloss ich, selbst zu singen. Meine Worte durch Musik auszudrücken wurde zu einer neuen Form, meine Geschichte lebendig werden zu lassen – ein neues Abenteuer für mich – und hoffentlich ein Vorteil für dich.

Nimm, was du hast, und tu, was du kannst.

Nachdem ich verschiedene Teile meines Selbst integriert habe, verbinde ich nun Musik, Texte, Bilder und Animation – Schritt für Schritt. Es fühlt sich an, als hätte ich endlich den Inhalt für die Formen gefunden, die ich einst als Designer und Musiker gelernt habe.

ROCK’N’PEACE steht für die Integration der inneren Welt – PEACE – mit der äußeren Welt – ROCK.
Es steht für die Verbindung zwischen dem Formlosen und dem Manifestierten, zwischen der Stille und dem Klang – und für die Erkenntnis, dass sie eins sind. Gemeinsam sind wir EINS.
