Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the operator of Printer App (the “App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) accesses, uses, stores, discloses, and protects information when you use the App or contact support. It also explains the choices available to you. By using the App, you acknowledge the practices described below.

The App is designed primarily as an on-device printing, scanning, and document utility. It does not require a Printer App account, and we do not operate a document-storage server for files that you select, scan, edit, or print. Some technical, diagnostic, attribution, subscription, or support information may nevertheless be processed by platform providers and other service providers as described in this Policy.

Scope

This Policy applies to the Android version of Printer App, its support communications, and any webpage that links to this Policy. It does not govern a printer manufacturer, Android print service, app store, cloud-storage provider, website opened in an external browser, or any other third-party product or service. Those services apply their own terms and privacy notices.

Information the App Accesses or Processes

Documents, photos, scans, and other user-selected content

When you choose a document, photo, image, PDF, webpage, or other supported item, the App accesses that item only to perform the action you request, such as previewing, editing, converting, saving, sharing, or printing it. Content captured with the scanner is processed to create the scan or PDF you request. This content generally remains on your device unless you deliberately save or share it through another destination, such as Google Drive, another app, an Android print service, or a printer.

We do not use the contents of your documents, photos, or scans for advertising, profiling, or training artificial-intelligence models. We do not sell this content.

Camera, photos, media, and file access

The App may request camera access when you start the scanning feature. It may use Android system pickers or permissions to let you select photos, media, or files. The App accesses only the items and functions needed for the action you initiate, subject to the permission controls available on your Android device. Denying a permission may prevent the related feature from working but should not affect unrelated features.

Printer, local-network, Bluetooth, and USB information

To find and communicate with compatible printers, the App or the Android printing components it invokes may process local-network status, printer names, model information, network addresses, connection status, supported paper sizes, color capabilities, and other printer characteristics. Depending on the App version, device, and feature you select, the App may also use Wi-Fi, nearby-device, Bluetooth, or USB functionality. This information is used to discover, connect to, and print through devices that you select. It is not used to infer or track your precise physical location.

App, device, diagnostic, and attribution information

The App and its service providers may process technical information such as app version, device model, operating-system version, language, approximate region, Internet Protocol address, network status, installation source, advertising or app-instance identifiers where permitted, feature interactions, subscription events, performance data, and crash reports. We use this information to operate the App, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, measure installation and campaign performance, understand aggregate feature use, and improve reliability.

Purchases and subscription status

If you purchase a subscription or other digital product, Google Play and any subscription-management provider used by the App may process the product selected, transaction or purchase token, subscription status, trial eligibility, renewal or expiration information, storefront, currency, and related technical identifiers. We do not receive your complete payment-card number or bank-account credentials. Payment information is handled by Google Play or the applicable payment provider.

Cloud storage and third-party destinations

If you choose to open from, save to, or share with Google Drive or another third-party destination, Android and the chosen provider handle the connection and authorization. The selected file and associated metadata are transmitted to that destination only as directed by you. Files stored with a third party are subject to that provider’s privacy policy, retention rules, security practices, and account controls.

Support communications

If you contact us, we process your email address, the content of your request, attachments you choose to provide, and related correspondence. Please do not send confidential documents unless they are necessary for support. We use support information to respond, troubleshoot, maintain records, and protect the App and its users.

Website information

A website that links to this Policy may receive standard server-log information, such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and request time. If the website uses cookies or similar technologies, they may be used for security, essential site functionality, and basic measurement. Browser controls may allow you to limit cookies, although some site functions may be affected.

How We Use Information

We process information to provide printing, scanning, editing, conversion, saving, sharing, template, and related App functions; communicate with printers and services you select; manage subscriptions and paid access; maintain security and prevent misuse; diagnose crashes and technical problems; measure and improve performance and usability; respond to support requests; comply with law; and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Where consent is required, the App requests it through the relevant permission prompt, consent interface, or user-initiated action. Where applicable law recognizes additional legal bases, processing may also be necessary to perform our agreement with you, comply with legal obligations, or pursue legitimate interests such as securing, debugging, and improving the App, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.

How Information Is Disclosed

User-directed disclosures

When you print, save, export, or share content, the App discloses it to the printer, Android print service, cloud-storage provider, app, person, or destination that you select. These are actions initiated and controlled by you.

Service providers and platform partners

Technical information may be processed by providers that support app distribution, billing, subscription management, analytics, attribution, crash reporting, cloud storage, communications, hosting, or security. They process information for the services they provide to us or to you and are subject to their own legal obligations and contractual restrictions. The specific providers may change as the App evolves.

Legal, safety, and business reasons

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or a valid government request; protect users, the public, our rights, or property; investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations; or complete a financing, reorganization, merger, acquisition, or transfer of all or part of the App’s business. Where required, appropriate notice and safeguards will apply.

No sale of personal information

We do not sell personal or sensitive user data for monetary consideration. We do not sell or rent the contents of documents, photos, or scans. We do not use those contents for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Storage, Retention, and Deletion

Print history, settings, working files, scans, and other App content may be stored locally on your device. You can remove local items using the controls available in the App or Android. Clearing the App’s storage or uninstalling the App generally removes information held inside the App’s private local storage. Files that you exported to shared device storage, Google Drive, another cloud service, another app, or a printer are not deleted when you uninstall the App and must be managed at their destination.

Temporary files are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to complete the requested operation or support normal App functionality and are then deleted or overwritten according to device and App behavior. Support correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, document the resolution, protect against abuse, and meet legal obligations. Technical and transaction records held by service providers are retained according to their policies and our operational or legal needs.

Because the App does not create a Printer App account, there is no Printer App profile to delete. We also cannot remotely delete content stored only on your device or in a third-party account. For questions about information that may have been included in a support request or processed on our behalf by a service provider, contact us using the email below.

Your Choices and Controls

You can choose which files and destinations to use; grant or revoke App permissions through Android settings; delete local App data or uninstall the App; manage exported files through the device or relevant cloud provider; adjust available advertising or privacy controls on your device; and manage or cancel a subscription through Google Play. Revoking access may disable the feature that depends on it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information and the App’s architecture. User-directed network or cloud transfers depend in part on the security of Android, the selected print service, the local network, the printer, and the selected third-party provider. No system, storage method, or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. You should protect your device, network, cloud accounts, and printed output, particularly when handling confidential material.

International Processing

App stores, cloud services, analytics, subscription, support, and other providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms or other lawful safeguards.

Children’s Privacy

The App is a general-purpose utility and is not directed specifically to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 through a Printer App account because the App does not offer such accounts. A parent or guardian should supervise a minor’s use of the App, purchases, cloud services, and printing. If you believe a child has sent personal information to support, contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

Regional Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information processed about you; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or complain to a data-protection authority. These rights may be subject to legal exceptions. Because most App content remains on your device and is not available to us, the most direct way to exercise control over that content is through the App, Android, or the third-party destination where you saved it.

To submit a privacy request about information that we can reasonably identify, email us from the address associated with your support communication and describe the request. We may need to verify the request and may be unable to identify information that is not linked to you or is held only by a platform or other independent provider.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the App, providers, legal requirements, or data practices. The revised Policy will show a new effective date and will become effective when posted, unless a later date is stated. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent. Continued use after the effective date means that the revised Policy applies to subsequent use, subject to rights that cannot legally be waived.
