2015 We Canada Walk

We Canada Walk is a musical fundraising tour. We are walking because the RCMP estimated in a report released last year that about 1,200 indigenous women and girls were murdered or went missing in Canada between 1980 and 2012. The report found that the disappearances and murders of indigenous women are part of a “broader pattern” of violence and discrimination against indigenous women in Canada.

Source: CTV News Published Monday, January 12, 2015. “We Canada Walk” is a non-profit Canada-wide fundraising campaign designed to raise public awareness and to stop the senseless murders of indigenous women across Canada and all woman in Canada. Donation and money raised on the tour will be going to the Amnesty International Canada campaign No More Stolen Sisters.
