A Zoo of Galaxies Caption Gazing deep into the universe, NASA's Hubble Space Telescope has spied a menagerie of galaxies. Messier 1 or more commonly, the Crab Nebula, is a supernova remnant. You see all different color palettes for this object. I chose to process the natural colors of red, blue, and green that come directly from my camera. Even though it is 11 light years in width and one of brightest supernova remnants in the sky, it cannot be seen with the naked eye. The star associated with this supernova exploded in 1054 and was reported visible in the day sky for 23 days, and at night for almost 2 years. The Crab Nebula is located in Taurus and is 6500 light years away.

Lake Tekapo in New Zealand is one of the best places on Earth to see the night sky. Boy where we in for a surprise, with no clouds and sub-zero temperatures, the milky way just seemed to pop like I have never seen it before.

My photo of the Orion Nebula was taken in my backyard in Petaluma, California. It is composed of 60 images at 60 seconds each. While I was away on a weeks holiday to Portugal, I decided to take a chance on seeing where the Milky Way and the Moon would be showing in relation to my location. To my surprise, the Moon was always below the horizon when the Milky Way was up. This was my first proper time photographing the Milky Way and I was seriously lucky to have really good conditions to capture it in. Very happy with the outcome.

Last year, We drove to Kentucky from NJ. It was long drive to go like 15 hours, and took more than 20 hours to came back home.  But it was worth it. Amazing event of my life. Never forget but at least I can share with you all.
