The Loose Moose Lodge is located in an excellent location that caters to guests' varied interests.

Off-Road Motoring

We are directly on a well used and maintained ATV and Snowmobile trail. Whether you like to ride for recreational use or for hunting, you can find a great deal of trails for riding on. The trails also provide a moderate challenge for hikers too.

Hiking

When it comes to hiking, The Loose Moose Lodge is directly on the Appalachian range route. Some more information about the route can be found at https://iat-sia.org/new-brunswick. This is not all that The Loose Moose lodge has to offer though, we have direct access to back trails that are also suitable for hiking on too, the off road trails join to a larger network of logging road trails.

The map below has marked the main Appalachian trail as well as local mountains aside from Mount Carleton. The Riley Brook Mountain is another great view that is highly recommended.

Fishing

The Tobique river is right nearby as well, Guests have great access to fishing and small boating during their stay. As well as plenty of lakes and reservoirs that are also located nearby.

Bass, Salmon and Trout are some of the more common catches you can expect to score. Whether you prefer to catch your dinner or release your game, you won't find yourself disappointed at the end of the day.

Hunting

Hunting is not an issue either. Located right on top of the trails which lead to over a thousand acres of prime hunting land, You have access to land where hunting all sorts of game is viable,

From rabbit and grouse to buck and bear, you can experience why the mountain side in New Brunswick is considered some of the best hunting in all of North America.
