
UXFL SUPER 8K LEAGUE RULEBOOK Governing Rules, Regulations, and Standards
Team Rules & UXFL Game Rules
Rosters & Eligibility
No roster size limit, only 40 players may suit up on game day.
Roster must be submitted to the UXFL committee on Thursday by 9:59PM. Any player submitted to your roster after that time will not be eligible to participate in that fallowing Saturdays game. (if rule is not fallowed that will enforce a forfeit).
Players are only eligible to be rostered to one team during a season unless they have successfully gone through the transfer process.
Offensive Rules
Maximum of 9 offensive players on the field at one time.
Minimum of 3 down lineman required at all times.
All formation, motions, and flyers are permitted.
All players on the offense are eligible to receive a pass.
QB has 10 seconds to put the ball into play, if the ball has not changed from the QBs hand within 10 seconds is a dead ball and a loss of down.
Defensive Rules
Maximum of 9 defensive players on the field at one time.
Minimum of 3 down lineman required at all times, Maximum of 4 down lineman during a play.
Defense has no restrictions on formations other that the maximum of down lineman.
Defensive lineman are eligible to shade on either side of the lineman, Defensive ends can only shade half a shoulder on the outside of the offensive tackle.
Linebackers, corner backs, and safeties are eligible to blitz. (if a linebacker is blitzing a corner back or safety cannot blitz at the same time).
Kickoff Rules
Kickoffs are 9v9.
100 Yard Field Ball is Kicked From the 35 Yard Line.
80 Yard Field Ball is Kicked From the 30 Yard Line.
If ball is kicked out of bounds the ball will be placed on the 35 yard line on a 100 yard field, on an 80 yard field the ball will be placed on the 20 yard line.
If the ball is kicked into or out of the end zone the ball will be paced on the 20 yard line.
Game Timing
four 15 minute quarters
Continuous clock except on timeouts and 1 minute warnings, if a team is winning by 28+ points the clock does not stop
Each team has three timeouts per half.
Each team has two changes per half.
Overtime
Ball will be placed at the 20 yard line after the coin toss.
Each team will get the same amount of possession. The team with the higher score at the end of each possession wins the game. A tie is not eligible.
PAT Points
No kicking for the extra points.
1 point from the 2 yard line.
2 points from the 5 yard line.
3 points from the 10 yard line.
Field Goals
Field goals are worth 3 points.
Field goals are available to kick from anywhere on the field.
Finances & Fees
Fees & Finances
$350 startup fee due February 1st, 2026.
$75 Weekly team pot fee.
$10 player registration fee at the first jamboree, any played rostered after that will have to pay $25 fee.
$5 fee for every player attending the game.
We are competing for $8,000 (North and South division winners will receive $1,500 and they will compete for $5,000 National Championship).
Player Transfer
If a player is planning to switch teams during the season the owner of the team he is on must release him first and that must be discussed with a UXFL committee member. That player must pay $100 fee that is payed to the league to then be transferred to the new team.
Events, Playoffs & Events
Jamboree & Events
The jamboree is an event that includes every team from your division, this event consist of 3 rounds. Each team will compete against each other having 2 drives on offense and 2 drives on defense. After all the teams have played each other who ever has the most points will be first in the bracket.
1st seed will verse the 4th seed, 2nd seed will verse the 3rd seed for the semi-final round. After those games have been completed with each team having 2 drives on offense and defense the final 2 teams will verse in the championship game.
The championship game will be the same as the first 2 rounds having both team with 2 offensive drives and 2 defensive drives, The points accumulated don't play into the championship round. The team that has the most points at the end of the championship will be the winner of the jamboree, they will receive the jamboree trophy and be ranked #1 in their division. (mid - season jamboree will give the winning team a half game advantage over the rest of the league and determining the playoff ranking).
Jamboree and all-star games are official UXFL events.
The first jamboree is hosted in Kansas City, Missouri.
The second jamboree will be hosted within your division.
Players missing the first jamboree must pay the $25 player fee.
Playoffs & Championship
Higher seed receives home field advantage.
National Championship hosted in Kansas City, Missouri.
Championship rings awarded to players with 6 or more games attended.
League and Game Day Requirements
Field & Venue Requirements
Eligible field dimensions.
100 yards of playable field with 10 yard end zones; 50 yards wide.
80 yards of playable field with 10 yard end zones; 40 yards wide.
Out of bounds and lines and field numbers must be eligible to see and properly marked. (if field is not properly marked that can cause the home team a forfeit).
Home Team Responsibilities
Provide chains and chain gang, referees, and a safe environment.
Ensure referees are knowledgeable of the UXFL rules.
Record games and submit film to league officials. (If no film is recorded your team will not be eligible to compete for the offensives and defensive player of the week award)
Report venue or weather issues at least 48 hours prior to kickoff.
Travel Team Responsibilities
Follow all host field rules and requirements.
Record away games and submit film to league officials.
Violation of following the home teams field rules may result in suspensions, being banned from the league or team removal of the league.
Uniform Requirements
All players must have matching uniforms.
No players can have the same number on the eligible roster.
No player will be eligible to participate if they do not have the proper uniform.
Uniform colors must be discussed on Mondays meeting.
SOME TEAMS PLAY ON SCHOOL GROUNDS: HAVE RESPECT AND DO NOT BRING ALCOHOL OR ANY DRUGS TO THE PREMISES
Referee Flags and UXFL Calls
Penalties
Offensive: (Holding 10-yards) (False Start 5-yards) (Delay of game 5-yards) (Intentional grounding 10-yards and a loss of down) (Offensive pass interference 10-yards and a loss of down) (Illegal block in the back 10-yards) (offside 5-yards)
Defense: (holding 10-yards) (Roughing the passer 10-yards and an automatic first down)(Pass interference spot foul & automatic first down) (Encroachment 5-yards or if called late a free play) Horse collar tackle 15-yard and an automatic first down)
General: (Face mask 15-yards) Illegal hands to the face 10-yards) (Targeting 15-yards and an automatic ejection) (Un-sportsman like conduct 15-yard if a single player receives more than 1 in a game that player will be ejected)
Players must be downed by contact (any part of the opponent touches the ball carrier while the knee or elbow is down will be the end of the play).
Two feet in with full control is a completed pass.
Disciplinary
Discipline & Conduct
Fighting results in a 2 game suspension and $100 fine and reinstatement fee.
Second offense will have the player removed for the rest of the season or can lead to being banned from the league.
Recurring fighting, gun related or threat based incidents to teammates, opponents or officials will result in a permanent ban from the UXFL.
Reinstatement Fees & Statement Letter
If a player is ejected from a game for any incident, they will have to write a statement that will be sent to the committee of the UXFL. The statement will be your reasoning and why you feel you should let back into the league.
Forfeiture Fees
If a team forfeits a game during the regular season it will count as a loss and that team pay a $200 fine to the team they were originally going to play that weekend. If the same team forfeits a second time they pay $400 to the opposing team. If a team forfeits a third time that will result in your organization being removed for the remainder of the season.
The team who is forfeiting will be paying $75 to the pot. They will also pay the $75 fee that the team who lost a game due to the forfeit.
Owners, Coaches and Staff Members
For ANY staff Member, coach and/or owner is threatening, verbally insulting, or any form of disrespect in person or on social media to another teams coaches, staff members or owners, will result in a $100 fine. If a second offense happens it will result in a $300 fine. The third offense will be a removal of the league. (If a fight breaks out or starts from an owner they will be banned from the league).
Recruiting Violation
Recruiting active roster players is prohibited and will result in $150 league fine.
