What tech do you specialize in?
Hand-built frontends, mostly.
I work with modern Next.js, Vue, and Tailwind for most sites. When performance is paramount, I reach for Web Components, Alpine, and 11ty. For online stores, I've built with both Shopify and BigCommerce.
For 3D, I'm highly familiar with PlayCanvas3D, a WebGL engine. But, I've also built directly with THREE.js, Babylon.js and directly in WebGL.
I care a lot about sites being fast and accessible (my blog, hayes.software, scores 100 across the board, and I like keeping it that way).
What does a project cost?
I bill hourly based on actual work done at $40 / hour.
I use advanced time-tracking software to bill 15-minute increments based on specific tasks. Invoices include detailed analytics on work done.
The result is you get the best bang-for-the-buck.
Nonetheless, project estimates are provided before work is started.
