Frequently Asked Questions

We do not have a permanent, storefront location.

We hold our monthly repair events at St. Christopher's Church, 662 Guelph Line, Burlington. Sometimes we hold pop-up events at various locations in conjunction with other organizations. Specific event locations and times are posted on our website and social media pages.

We work on small household appliances and mechanical items. We also do textile mending - simple rips and tears but NOT alterations to clothing.

In the past we have fixed: lamps, fans, toasters, coffee makers, vacuum cleaners, clocks, hair dryers, toys, flashlights, radios, CD players, crock pots, rice cookers, blenders, mixers, fireplace inserts, space heaters, paper shredders, heating pads, kettles, water pumps.

We do not have the capacity to work on items with circuit board faults.

We also do not fix items that others do for a living: cell phones, computers, electronic devices, game stations, tvs, stereo systems, sewing machines, DVD players, lawn mowers, snow blowers, power washers, steam mops, humidifiers, de-humidifiers, large kitchen appliances.

Due to insurance restrictions we do not make house calls.

While we strive to repair every item brought to us, we cannot guarantee all repairs will be successful due to the condition or availability of parts.

By bringing in an item you accept responsibility and liability for taking an item home. We do our best to make each repair a success and test items before the leave our event.

If we are unable to fix your item, you still must take your item away. We do not accept items to be donated to others.
