This photo was taken in New York in December 2018 during my Christmas stay in the city. I was wandering the streets and was amazed by a pile of coffee-to-go cups and decided to take a picture. 

I would call this photo "Trash-To-Go" because the cups are used only a few minutes till they are trash.

This photo is my most downloaded photo. I see this photo is constantly used to raise awareness of single-use plastic. Keep up the good work!

<h3>Guía práctica para la separación de residuos</h3>Para que el programa "ConectaResiduos San Jerónimo" funcione correctamente, es fundamental que los residuos se separen desde el origen, es decir, en cada hogar o finca. A continuación se explica de manera sencilla cómo hacerlo:Paso 1 – Residuos orgánicos (NO se reportan en la página web)Los residuos orgánicos son aquellos que se descomponen naturalmente. Entre ellos se encuentran: cáscaras de frutas y verduras, restos de comida, hojas secas y residuos de café o jardinería. Estos residuos NO deben reportarse en el formulario de recolección, porque pueden ser aprovechados directamente en el hogar para elaborar abono o compostaje, mejorando la calidad del suelo sin necesidad de quemarlos ni disponerlos junto con la basura común.Paso 2 – Residuos aprovechables (SÍ se reportan en la página web)Los residuos aprovechables son aquellos que pueden reciclarse. Corresponden a tres categorías principales:<ul><li>Plástico limpio: botellas, envases, bolsas plásticas, garrafas y recipientes. Es importante que estén vacíos y, si es posible, enjuagados para evitar malos olores y facilitar su reciclaje.</li><li>Vidrio: botellas de bebidas, frascos de conservas o salsas. Se recomienda retirar las tapas y enjuagarlos ligeramente.</li><li>Cartón y papel: cajas de cartón, periódicos, revistas, cuadernos usados y papel de oficina. Deben estar secos y libres de residuos de comida o grasa.</li></ul>Estos materiales SÍ deben reportarse mediante el formulario de la página web o a través del número de WhatsApp habilitado, para que RECUPERSANJE pueda programar su recolección y llevarlos a reciclaje.Paso 3 – Residuos no aprovechables (NO se reportan)Los residuos no aprovechables son aquellos que no pueden reciclarse ni reutilizarse. Entre ellos se encuentran: papel higiénico usado, servilletas sucias, residuos sanitarios, plásticos con restos de comida o aceite, y empaques metalizados (como los de algunas galletas o snacks). Estos residuos deben disponerse en la bolsa de basura común que recolecta el servicio de aseo municipal. No deben quemarse ni arrojarse a las quebradas o al río, ya que generan contaminación del aire, el agua y el suelo.
