Executive & Founder Coaching with Deborah Choi
Non-judgmental, hands-on, energizing coaching for founders and leaders navigating growth, transitions, and scale.
Hi! 👋🏾 I'm Deborah. I'd love to be your new business coach.
I've been building businesses for over 20 years—six of my own, to be exact.
From raising venture capital to leading teams through pivots and scale, I've lived through the messy, exhilarating reality of entrepreneurship. Today, as Managing Director at Founderland, I support underrepresented founders across Europe while coaching executives and leaders navigating their own growth journeys.
A coaching session with me is non-judgmental, hands-on, and energizing. I don't have formal coaching certification—what I bring instead is two decades of real-world experience as a venture-backed founder, marketer, strategist, and leader. I've sat in your seat, faced the same doubts, and found frameworks that actually work when the stakes are high and the path forward isn't clear.
Whether you're scaling your first venture, raising capital, building your leadership presence, or simply trying to make your next move with clarity and confidence, I'm here to help you get unstuck and move forward with intention.
Does Any of This Sound Familiar?
"I feel like an imposter, even when I achieve my goals."
You've built something real. You've hit milestones others only dream about. But that voice in your head keeps saying you're not enough, that you got lucky, that someone will figure out you don't belong here.
Here's what we'll do: We'll unpack where that voice actually comes from and I'll share the tools I've used with dozens of founders to quiet it. The goal isn't to erase self-doubt—it's to stop letting it make your decisions. You'll learn to step into opportunities with clarity and own your accomplishments without the mental gymnastics.
"I want to grow, but I'm not sure which path to take."
Everything feels possible, which somehow makes it harder to choose anything. You're getting pulled in multiple directions and you're afraid that picking one path means losing out on the others.
Here's what we'll do: We'll map out your options against what actually matters to you—not just revenue potential, but your values, energy, and long-term vision. You'll leave with a clear strategy that has milestones to keep you accountable, so growth feels intentional instead of overwhelming.
"I need to raise money, but I don't know how to start."
Fundraising can feel like a black box. Who do you talk to? What's the right story? How do you avoid wasting months chasing investors who were never going to say yes?
Here's what we'll do: I've raised venture capital myself and coached founders from pre-seed through growth rounds. We'll build your narrative, identify the right investors for your stage and sector, and design a process that protects your time and sanity. You'll walk away with a plan that's strategic, achievable, and doesn't feel like throwing spaghetti at the wall.
"I want to build a personal brand that doesn't feel fake."
You know you need to be more visible, but the thought of "personal branding" makes you cringe. You don't want to perform or pretend to be someone you're not.
Here's what we'll do: Your brand already exists—it's how people experience you. We'll help you take ownership of that narrative so it feels authentic and aligned. You'll refine your voice, clarify the signals you're sending online and offline, and show up in a way that feels true to who you are while attracting the right opportunities.
"I keep hitting the same walls in my business."
You solve one problem and another pops up. Or worse—the same issue keeps resurfacing no matter what you try. You're starting to wonder if it's you, your strategy, or just bad luck.
Here's what we'll do: Sometimes the block is tactical, sometimes it's mindset. We'll diagnose where you're actually stuck and build tools to get you moving again. That might mean restructuring your goals, reframing limiting beliefs, or creating new systems that let you scale without burning out. Either way, we're breaking the pattern.
"I don't know how to market and sell without it feeling forced."
Sales and marketing feel uncomfortable. You don't want to be pushy or salesy, but you also can't grow if no one knows what you do. The gap between "authentic" and "effective" feels impossible to bridge.
Here's what we'll do: We'll find an approach that works for your personality and your business. That could mean refining your story, identifying channels where your audience actually is, or designing offers that convert naturally. You'll learn to sell in a way that feels like service, not pressure—and actually drives results.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's your coaching approach?
I combine practical frameworks with real-world experience from 20 years of building businesses. My coaching is direct, energizing, and focused on getting you unstuck and moving forward. I help you build clarity, resilience, and leadership capacity that lasts beyond our sessions.
What training do you have as a coach?
I have no formal coaching certification. What I bring instead is two decades as a founder, marketer, and leader—including six businesses of my own, raising venture capital, and advising 120+ teams on growth. My approach comes from lived experience, strategic problem-solving, and an intuitive understanding of what founders face at every stage.
Do you offer digital resources with your coaching?
Yes. All coaching includes access to frameworks, tools, and guides that reinforce what we work on together and support your progress between sessions.
Are sessions virtual or in-person?
All sessions are virtual for convenience and flexibility. If you're based in Berlin, we can arrange in-person sessions on an exceptional basis—just email me to coordinate.
What's your cancellation policy?
I ask for 72 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. If I need to cancel, I'll give you the same notice—or if it's truly last-minute, I'll add an extra session credit in addition to rescheduling.
Is coaching confidential?
Absolutely. Everything we discuss stays between us. For group coaching, we establish confidentiality agreements in the first session, and what's shared in the group stays in the group.
What's the difference between 1:1 and group coaching?
1:1 coaching is fully customized to you—your challenges, your goals, your context. It's the most personalized and transformational option.
Group coaching gives you expert facilitation from me plus peer insight from other founders. It's less personalized, but many clients find that watching someone else work through a challenge they're also facing is just as valuable as being coached directly. You also benefit from diverse perspectives and a built-in support network.
Do you offer workshops for teams or organizations?
Yes. I design custom workshops for teams and organizations focused on leadership development, resilience, and strategic growth. These are fully tailored to your group's needs, so book a discovery call and we'll start planning.
Why do you charge what you charge?
My clients tell me they value working with someone who actively listens, genuinely cares about their success, and brings deep, diverse leadership experience. I want to work with people who will invest their time and effort to get real results—not just show up hoping coaching will magically fix things.
My time is also limited. I have a demanding career, a family, and I actively mentor a handful of long-term mentees. That means I can only take on a small number of external coaching clients at a time, and I'm committed to doing exceptional work with each one.
