Play-Based Learning

Research shows that young children learn more through hands-on, interactive experiences than through passive listening. At quality early childhood programs, there's a lot of play - and there should be!

Through play, children create their own themes, test ideas, solve problems, learn to see others' points of view, develop language skills, build muscle coordination, and make discoveries about the world around them.

Developmentally Appropriate Practice

Our curriculum is designed to provide developmentally appropriate activities for each child. We understand that young children are active learners who need opportunities to move, touch, explore, and interact with their environment.

We limit each subject in the curriculum to a maximum of 30 minutes to keep children's attention and maintain their interest as we move to another subject.

Group Time Activities

Built into our daily routine is "group time" where each teacher implements curriculum designed for their age group. Activities incorporate:

  • Art and creative expression

  • Music and movement

  • Drama and pretend play

  • Science exploration

  • Math concepts

  • Large and small motor development

  • Literacy and language
