PENTARCHIA IMPERIALE DE ROMORIA

The assassination of the Emperor led to a succession crisis that saw five men claim the title of Emperor. The long lasting strife and the fear of the Empire falling to outsider forces, led to an agreement between the five parties and the establishment of the Pentarchia - a mutual defense agreement against northern belligerents and the development of the civil war into a political game. The current land is divided into 9 greater regions - The Imperial lands ruled by the successor of the old Emperor, two Principates ruled by other branches, one Praetoria ruled by the eastern army appointed dictator, the Mercatia ruled by the Guild, the Ordo ruled by the Military Church, the Holy Lands ruled by the Clergy, the Magnus Ducato, and the Islhas. The claimants to the whole land are the son of the old Emperor, the Dictator, the Guild’s leader, the leader of the Church, and the Great Duke.
