This Privacy Policy describes how the Teacher Attendance Register collects, uses, stores, and protects data gathered from educational institutions within the district. The platform is designed to replace paper-based tracking with an efficient, digital attendance-logging system to enhance administrative accountability.

Information Handled

The system strictly collects official administrative and professional data required for attendance tracking, including:

  • Teacher Profiles: Full name, Staff ID, contact number, assigned subject/class, and daily attendance or clock-in/clock-out status.

Storage & Security

Data security and offline availability are prioritized through a dual-storage approach:

  • Local Storage: Data is temporarily stored locally on the active browser configuration (localStorage) for quick device retrieval and offline capability.

  • Cloud Syncing: Data is automatically synced via secure Web APIs to district-controlled, secure databases (such as Google Sheets) once an internet connection is established.

  • Administrative Protection: Complete record resets, data modifications, or system overrides are strictly protected by an administrative password.

Intended Use

All collected metrics are processed solely for standard educational accountability operations. This includes managing teacher distribution, monitoring punctuality, reducing absenteeism, and evaluating operational staffing needs within the Ahafo Ano South East District. Data is never shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

Administrative Rights

Authorized personnel (including Headteachers, Circuit Supervisors, and District Directorates) retain full rights to generate attendance summaries, extract on-demand data tables, or save structured attendance reports directly into PDF.
