Who We Are

Van Jan Sewa Samiti is a non-profit, non-government, and non-religious organization. It was registered under the Societies Act on August 8, 2011 (Registration No. 1511).

The organization was founded by Shri Ganesh Ram Chouhan with the aim of supporting the forests and the people who depend on them, mainly in the district of Jashpur, Chhattisgarh and nearby regions. The NGO is dedicated to the welfare and development of forest ecosystems and the indigenous communities dependent on them.

Since it began, Van Jan Sewa Samiti has been working to spread awareness about the importance of forests in ecological balance and promoting sustainable livelihoods for forest-dependent communities and how people can live in harmony with nature. The organization also helps local communities by working closely with local populations to foster environmental stewardship, sustainable resource management, and community development, to learn, how to protect the forest and use its resources in a sustainable way.

Our Founder

SHRI GANESH RAM CHOUHAN

An Inter Pass, A Farmer, A Social Worker, A member of Rashtriya Mulnivasi Sangh BAMCEF and District President of Bharat Mukti Morcha (BMM).

From childhood he has a nature to help people who needs help, he started participating voluntarily in different social activities, governmental or non-governmental. His wish to help people, protect forest and animals has fulfilled by founding Van Jan Sewa Samiti.
