AYM
Ayurvedic Yoga Massage
(according to the method of Kusum Modak)
Ayurvedic Yoga Massage is an intensive form of bodywork that I offer as a direct treatment.
It combines deep, rhythmic massage with passive yoga stretches — working not only on the muscles, but on the entire system.
What to Expect
The session takes place on a floor mat.
I work with warm sesame oil, using hands, forearms, and thumbs — applying slow, deep movements along the muscles and fascia.
At the same time, your body is guided through passive stretches that open and mobilize it.
Breath plays a central role:
it sets the rhythm, and the treatment follows it.
This creates less of a feeling of “being treated,” and more of being guided through your own body.
Effects
This form of bodywork goes significantly deeper than a classic massage.
It can help to:
release chronic tension
improve mobility
calm and rebalance the nervous system
develop a clearer sense of the body
Many people describe after the session a feeling of:
deep calm
lightness combined with stability
more space in the body
less inner pressure
My Approach
For me, this work is not just a technique.
I combine the massage with my background in breathwork and nervous system regulation.
This means I’m not only working on the tissue, but also paying close attention to how your system responds — adjusting the intensity accordingly.
This creates a treatment that doesn’t overwhelm,
but allows the body to truly relax and reorganize.
Who It’s For
This type of massage can be especially helpful for:
chronic muscle tension or back issues
stress-related inner restlessness
limited mobility
the desire to reconnect more deeply with your body
Essence
Ayurvedic Yoga Massage is not a wellness treatment,
but a deep, structured form of bodywork.
It offers the possibility to move out of a state of constant tension
into greater calm, mobility, and stability.
